Incredible little Izakaya hole in the wall! Surrounded by Beatles memorabilia, you'll eat some of the best yakitori in town. Great service too. Get the Erichan Mochi!
Inner Richmond rock 'n' roll-themed, family-run eatery specializing in grilled meat on a stick? Only in San Francisco.. Skewered chicken gizzards may not sound like a popular snack, but witnessing the sheer number of these salty sticks emerging from the kitchen is enough to prove otherwise. Sure, the menu includes ramen, a few rice bowls and a handful of fairly predictable appetizers, but diners pack this restaurant's narrow dining space bedecked in '60s rock memoribilia for the yakitori: a grilled Japanese street snack traditionally made primarily from chicken (every imaginable part, mind you) but here also available in skirt steak, bacon-wrapped scallops, shitake mushrooms and more than a dozen other items. There's also a kushi-katsu menu--similarly skewered meats and veggies battered, deep fried and served with a housemade vinegary brown sauce and wasabi mayo. Doesn't everything taste better on a stick?
