Inner Richmond residents gorge themselves on carb-heavy Hawaiian cuisine and fruity blended dessert drinks at this casual tiki-styled restaurant.. Warning: You absolutely will leave Eva's full, and not just a little full, but a sort of seam-ripping stuffed that'll leave you in no shape for the beaches Hawaii is famous for. But that's the point, right? The closest the menu comes to a vegetable is a few wee shreds of salad (smothered in housemade dressing) on the side, and even then many diners opt for the mayonnaise-shellacked macaroni salad instead. Add to that two cafeteria-style scoops of rice and a giant portion of pretty much any protein imaginable--garlic mahi mahi, teriyaki beef, chicken katsu or spare ribs to name a few--and you've got a recipe for one very affordable, pretty tasty, very filling meal. (Half portions are available, for those who actually want to fit into a swimsuit when they finally make it over to Hawaii.)
