great products, service....not so good

This salon has great hair and skin products! However, I did not get a good hair color. It was on the pricier side too! My stylist used bleach to give my hair highlights, but she only put it at the base of the hair shaft. End result - weird spots on my head and no highlights further down. I went somewhere else to have it fixed.
I had booked a facial too, but cancelled that due to the poor hair salon experience.

False advvertising,I have had better service at chain salons

The salon advertises as a luxury spa in the upscale Tiburon.The facial and massage were acceptable,but I have had the same experience elsewhere for less cost.Enter the manicurist/hairdresser(already not a good sign that she is supposed to do every thing)who did not do anything a 30.00 Vietnamese Salon couldn't do better.My polish was not even,and she cut my toe nails to the quick without asking my preferences.She then proceeded to wash my hair barely touching my scalp,spraying the hose over the shampoo,which left a residue of massage oil.The "styling" with a blowdryer left it semi dry and shapeless.etc.etcWhen I returned home my husband said incredulously,"You just came back from a salon?!"I did not have time to try to get her to correct it,as I had to get ready to catch a plane looking like this.Thank heaven it wasn't for a once in a lifetime event like a wedding.I cannot imagine how this place "under new management" will stay in business with repeat customers in a place with as many good choices as Marin. This was supposed to be a gift,it is one I will be certain not to pass on to any one else.

- Cons: Some of the staff just escaped from cosmetology class

JoAnne Findorak: Best facial I have ever experienced.

I have had countless facials at countless spas, and JoAnne put all of them to shame. She is conscientious, focused, and highly experienced, not to mention just plain kind. I felt pampered and luxurious the entire time. Worth every penny. I happened upon the spa/salon by accident, and JoAnne is the reason I will be going back. She offered a discount for referrals, and I will be taking advantage.
