service has gone downhill. I was so happy when I found this little cafe right around the corner from my place. But each time I went there, I felt the service got worse and worse. Almost like they knew that I was a regular and now did not have to work as hard to help me. And, yes, no lines. But, the last time I was there to eat, it took them 30 MINUTES to make my bagel with cheese! Seriously! I was with my son, so finally just had to tell the lady to make it To Go. They were just talking and laughing behind the counter. So, bottom line, coffee is good, sitting on couches is nice, but their service is definitely hit or miss.

Great Local Café. This place is great, definitely a local secret. The coffee is much better than Peet’s and in the morning when we are all in a hurry there is NO LINE, something that is so important on those in-a-rush-caffeine-required kind of day. The staff is friendly, but not too perky or over-caffeinated. Unfortunately I never have the time to sit and enjoy my coffee and pastry here, Epicenter Café is equipped with Wi-Fi. Another perk, in the evening they serve local beers here!

Editorial Review. Coffee geeks gain another foothold with the addition of this SoMa destination for caffeine, morning pastries and simple meals.
