The tired old truck stop staple gets a dramatic makeover at this artisan donut shop in the Mission serving flavors like banana dulce de leche and spiced chocolate..
Maligned as a bearer of trans-fats and emblem of American obesity, the donut's chances for survival may hinge on this takeout window of opportunity in the heart of the Mission. From the owners of the nearby Atlas Cafe and local pastry pimp Sara Spearin, Dynamo churns out donuts in flavors like bacon-apple with maple glaze, lemon thyme with honey glaze, and caramel fleur de sel from a yellow cottage on 24th St along with Four Barrel Stumptown coffee--virtually guaranteeing long lines of hipsters, foodies, and yes, cops, although most likely those that pack a sophisticated palette along with a badge and a gun.
