In the former Red Room space on Nob Hill, Minx holds a motley crowd of drinkers and random vintage furniture.. From the owners of Amber, this bar has essentially the same theme--namely, none--minus the indoor smoking. Miscellaneous vintage furniture (of the flea market variety rather than collector quality) and a few stools at the bar provide seating undeneath taxidermied animal heads and chintzy chandeliers, unfanciness that should allow for the anything-goes policy that makes Amber so popular. One of the few new bars in the city with out a theme or concept--this isn't a: "speakeasy," "ultra-lounge," "gastro-pub," or a "mixology lab," it's just a bar--nothing fancy, nothing special, nothing to distract you from the task at hand: boozing.…
