What People Are Saying About Beretta

This Mission hotspot is both part of the new generation of Italian restaurants (which eschew the checkered tablecloths and family-style spaghetti for slick decor, a cosmopolitan crowd and authentic pizzette and antipasti) and the model all of the others in this new category wish to emulate. The elegant, open space with dark-wood highlights, a bar, communal table, two-tops and sidewalk seating is packed every night with foodies, cocktail connoisseurs and Mission scenesters. The thin-crust Neapolitan pizzas are made with organic, seasonal ingredients and flavored with Italian meats and cheeses…
Review from Veggiething Dictator

Since going vegan more than a decade ago, I have been on the search for the perfect pizza. Many have come close, but nothing has been nearly as delectable as the funghi pizza pie at Beretta. The crust was thin but held up well and was tinged with just the right amount of char from the ovens. The sauce had the perfect spicy sweet thing going on, and the mushrooms were earthy and rich, and the 'cheese' just brought the whole thing together in a euphoric way I could barely handle. Not since my formative years in NJ and NY have I had pizza this good. Bless you, Beretta, bless you.
- Pros: Best vegan pizza evah!
- Cons: Can be a tad loud and crowded, but maybe I'm just old :)
Delfina beware!

If I was to give it stars based on food, I'd give 5 and if it was on the overall experience, I'd give 3 - the service is just horrible. The bartenders are just so backed up that it takes them 20-30 minutes to give you your cocktails while the food may almost be over. The food is great and the pizzas will give Delfina a run for their money. Order whatever pizza you'd like but definitely get the burrata on it even if you pay $4 for it. Totally worth it. I'd say this is a must try, but order your drinks in advance so you're not waiting around while the food may be getting cold.
- Pros: Excellent pizzas and little plates
- Cons: Horible service
My Review of Beretta

This is a great spot for casual, innovative Italian food. It's a festive crowd, and the cocktails are hard to beat. I have only been once but would love to go back.
- Pros: Good crowd, good cocktails
- Cons: Gets pretty busy so it's hard to get a table
