Editorial Review for Frisee Restaurant – by Patricia-Anne Tom
In Short
Healthy-minded restaurant aims to avoid junk-food fare, instead serving gourmet salads and slow-roasted or grilled entrees such as filet mignon, stuffed pork loin or salmon with cous cous. Diners in a hurry will find the ability to place counter orders a convenience. Those who don't take a boxed meal to go can cozy up in an orange cove, which holds up to 12 parties, or get a bird's-eye view from the balcony.
Hits: Freshly tossed salad entrees are sizable enough for two.
Misses: Patrons taller than six feet will be consigned to the main floor, as the ceiling height on the balcony level maxes out at 6' 3".

Insider Tips
What to DrinkThe wine list boasts biodynamic and organic wines from Argentina, Italy, Australia and France, but the beer selection is lacking.
Know Before You GoGiven tables that are somewhat crammed together and a window counter that's often short on space, it's likely that you may get to know your fellow diners better than you anticipated--or wanted to.

The soup samplers are amazing, the service is great, and the design of the seating area is intimate.
