Bliss on a massage table.
It can be challenging to find a massage therapist who can meet one?s therapeutic goals and with whom one feels a bond, comfort level, and sense of trust. My search came to an end when I had my first session with Mark Woods over two years ago.
Here is what I appreciate most about Mark and his work: His style is the perfect blend of knot-busting deep tissue and soothing, relaxing Swedish. Mark has an amazing ability to ?read? my muscles like you or I would read the page of a book. So even if I forget to mention that a particular area is bothering me, Mark always succeeds in finding the problem and working it out. When I?m on Mark?s table, there is always a genuine connection, and I feel like Mark?s energy and attention are completely focused on my massage. This is such a refreshing change from other therapists I?ve seen, some of whom seemed distant and disconnected. Last, but certainly not least, Mark is simply a nice, down-to-earth guy.
In addition to Mark?s talent and dedication, he also has a peaceful, immaculately clean massage studio that is easily accessible from the Civic Center Muni/BART station.
If you?re looking for a new massage therapist, I highly recommend Mark Woods!
Affordable, Excellent Therapy. I have been seeing Mark for 3 years. He is better than even the best therapists I have had at spas and fancy hotels when traveling on vacation, etc. He does a great job for a great price. You will be a returning client, I can assure you. I just hope nobody tries to take my weekly appointment time away from me.
Best Massage Ever. Come on, admit it: your back is sore and your shoulders ache like hell. There's this shooting pain in your neck that flares up every time the phone rings. You're so tense that you find yourself day by day feeling more sympathetic with those who go postal. You need a massage! And Mark is exactly the man to go to. His office is clean, quiet and easily accessible. The lighting is low, the music soothing, the sheets extra soft. And then Mark starts pressing on all those horrible pressure points and it hurts in an oh-so-good! way. And to the background accompaniment of slow quiet music, he rubs away all that horrible tension. By the end of it, you will forget why you were so tense to begin with. So what are you waiting for?
Best 90 minutes in San Francisco. Whether you are looking for a relaxing break from your hectic week or are seeking treatment for a specific ailment, Mark won't let you down. I came across a posting almost 5 years ago and can't image my week without a trip to see Mark. His is utterly professional and well trained. His studio is always impeccable and inviting. I can't imagine anyone feeling uncomfortable in his presence. He is strong, intuitive, reliable, and well trained (I can't overstate the last enough). Massage therapy has become a way of life for me and I am lucky to have found a great therapist. Long live Mark!
Best Massage ever!.
I have been a regular once a week client of Mark Woods since 2002-- since right after he got out of school. Even right out of school, I could tell Mark was a talented and gifted massage therapist. Over the years, he has refined his skills and is always improving and learning new techniques.
Mark has the most uncanny ability to find those hidden back & neck knots that no one else has ever been able to work out. I need a very firm and deep massage to get all my stress out and he is the only masseur who can actually work out my stubborn kinks. I also have a serious pain issue in my very low back that he is always sensitive to and is willing to work around to make me most comfortable.
Not only a brilliant massage professional, Mark also cultivates a serene & relaxing studio environment, with candles and music. He has amazing music choices -- I have copied many a CD from him.
I will never work with any other massage therapist!
