The chicken here is excellent. It is cooked to perfection. The service is fast, and the price is very inexpensive. I would recommend coming here if you're planning to have a few drinks along the way.

I went on a Saturday night at 7pm ish with my friends. I thought the sampler (3) choice poke portion could be a little more. I thought the lomi-lomi salmon was somewhat salty which overwhelms the fish(It was unnecessary-needs to maintain balance the flavors between the fish and other ingredients); the ahi poke needs a little more flavoring---hukilau's probably better; and the octopus was good. This couple that sat next to us mentioned their steak is too salty. Their kalua pork with cabbage is tasty yet moist--same for their teriyaki chicken. Their hapia is good also. The service is attentive. The decor is presentable with wide space to walk through(hukilau's is cramped). If anyone from Hanu's reads this constructive criticism and to willing to improve themselves--then I probably return more often. Remember the few good to great individuals can make (a)(the)difference(s).

You gotta try the different varieties of Poke they have at this place, oh so many and oh so "Ono"(good). My favorite dish would be the Mochiko Chicken with that sweet glaze and potato salad. Not your average Hawaiian joint. Great restaurant with lively atmosphere! Will definitely be back for more!
