The best Engagement Ring!!. THE BEST ENGAGEMENT RING! Socially conscious, awesome service, and highest quality craftsmanship. Brilliant Earth's environmental and social missions were the reasons my fiancée originally contacted them. But what was most impressive was their incredible level of service throughout the whole process. The entire Brilliant Earth team (and particularly Beth and Gloria) did everything that we could ask and offered a ton of helpful suggestions. They really went above and beyond, from helping design the ring to selecting a gorgeous conflict-free diamond. In the end, the ring was *exactly* what my fiancée had in mind, and I couldn't be happier! I would recommend Brilliant Earth to anybody who is intrigued by conflict-free diamonds or recycled gold...and to anybody who wants a beautiful engagement ring.

Great product / great service, even at a distance. Ok, I was little nervous trying to make a custom engagement ring with a company in San Francisco (I live in NY). But my fiancé needed a ring where the diamond was completely traced to make sure it is truly coming from a clean place (not just Kimberly certified). She works for a progressive non-profit so there was no option to skimp on the ethical credentials. Still, I really wanted this ring to be top quality and I didn’t want to pay a fortune. Enter Brilliant Earth. I had heard about this company from a friend in San Francisco who bought an engagement ring there last year. His wife is a total stickler on details so if they could make her happy, then it would probably be good enough for us.

I got down to working with one of Brilliant Earth’s jewelry designers and sent a few pictures of styles that I thought my fiancé would like. We talked by phone and I gave a few more pieces of information on her daily activities (she is very active). The designer came back with a sketch that looked pretty good but I wasn’t sure. We talked it through by phone and I expressed my reservations. Then the new sketch arrived in my inbox. Wow, it was perfect. I know I couldn’t have possibly been articulate in describing what I wanted - how did the designer read my mind? I approved the design and the next thing I knew, the Brilliant Earth package arrived in my office – in recycled packaging, with a beautiful sustainably harvested wooden ring box (of course). I proposed last weekend and my fiancé is still beaming, though I’m pretty sure it is more because of the engagement ring than anything else. Brilliant Earth is great and I’ll recommend them to anyone looking for beautiful jewelry and great service.

Amazing quality and design!. I worked with Danielle on designing 2 custom wedding rings - my fiance and I wanted to design rings that matched.. Danielle helped me create our rings just based on our high level vision and some very rough ideas - ultimately the rings came out AMAZING!!! My ring had very intricate micro diamonds that followed a curved pattern, and I was so impressed with how it came out - it was more beautiful than I could have imagined! We got it appraised at a higher price than we paid and the appraiser commented on the high quality of the detail and the ring.

My husband was a bit hesitant at first to do custom rings (we are trying to plan a wedding after all, so are pretty busy as it is), but the process was so easy and smooth. He's really happy with his ring as well. I've had my engagement ring for about a year, and it still looks absolutely beautiful. I get tons of compliments on it.

I couldn't recommend Brilliant Earth more and tell all my friends about it!

Best Jewelry Store. Period.. It is now over 3 years since my wonderful husband Mark got me the most beautiful engagement ring ever made: a custom-made, platinum pave antique-style setting with a gorgeous hearts & arrows diamond. He worked with Beth and told me that he had a great experience which means it must have been truly phenomenal given how shopping-averse he is. I’ve been wearing the ring ever since and it remains as beautiful as the day he proposed. I know the pave rings with lots of small diamonds can be delicate and lose stones but I’ve never had any issues, even though I’m not particularly gentle with my jewelry. It still get compliments all of the time – is it wrong to be jealous of one’s own engagement ring :)

In February, we started shopping for wedding bands and went back to Brilliant Earth and this time worked with Danielle (Beth was out that day). We decided to visit some other shops in town to see what else was out there before making a decision. There was no comparison – Danielle was so much more knowledgeable and professional than anyone else we talked to at the other stores.

I wanted a platinum pave wedding band in an antique style to match the engagement ring but also one which would have enough presence to stand on its own. I recently took a new job requiring significant international travel and I wasn’t sure that I’d want to take the engagement ring to every exotic destination. Danielle had great suggestions for how to match the wedding band style to the engagement ring. She had the team put together a computer model of the ring to help me visualize the final product. In about 3 weeks, the ring was ready and was even more beautiful than I could have imagined. Mark got one of the model styles, a platinum hammered band, which is masculine and understated, just like him. We were both so happy with the experience that we decided to get my bridesmaid gifts from Brilliant Earth as well. Now that we’re done with the wedding, I’m realizing that the jewelry was really the only part of the planning process that was completely smooth. Thank you Beth, Danielle, and Brilliant Earth – we’ll be telling everyone we can about you!

Horrible Customer Service. My fiance (now husband) and I searched the gamut for a ring company that was ethical and aligned with our values. Coming from working for an Int'l NGO, I knew I couldn't buy a ring from any company. We were so excited to find Brilliant Earth...but after my quite horrible experience with them, I realize, this company is all about marketing and selling a story that is not their own. My experience with the company made me leave feeling like I was just another profit they made exploiting the story of those who have been unfortunately exploited already. I was devastated to find out that this company is not a sound one all the way through. Don't make the mistake of purchasing from them and then finding this out on your own! Learn from our expensive mistake.

My fiance bought our micro pave engagement ring from them, but at this time, NOTHING was told to us about how to care for the ring. My fiance was treated like a check in the box. You would think they would care for their customers instead of only caring about making a final sale?

I only wore the ring for less than 2 months when one of the diamonds fell out. After wearing the ring for 5 months total, 3 diamonds fell out. Pretty ridiculous, right? We were so worried but figured there was a manufacturing problem with the ring since I hadn't worn it long at all.

When we called to get the ring looked at, I was expecting good customer service, but instead, got berated and belittled by the employees (especially Beth - very rude). I was treated very poorly and asked why I wouldn't know how to care for a ring (since it was my fault according to them). I was shocked that this company would treat their customers that way and be so hesitant as to apologize or claim responsibility...especially since they are a company that prides themselves on caring for others. Originally, they wanted US to pay for the repair, but after hours of heated conversation, I was able to negotiate that down. I was irate, and Beth was the worst person I have ever had to deal with. This company definitely tops the list as the worst company I have ever worked with.

If they're the ring experts, instead of belittling customers and asking why we wouldn't know how to care for a ring, shouldn't they have cared for their customers and shared their knowledge from the start?

Instead, I felt like we were another profit being made off of a story that is not their own.

When my repaired ring came back, only then were there care instructions.

I am now so embarrassed that we purchased from this fake company. Most companies now source their diamonds ethically, but don't feel the need to sell a good marketing story. Don't get caught into their marketing like we did...the company is not as great as it seems.

When we bought my wedding ring, we dealt with a jeweler that certified their diamonds AND spent time with us, AND ensured that we (and the ring) were well taken care of. They even checked in on us later. How refreshing!! Don't purchase from Brilliant Earth! Spend your money elsewhere...

Beautiful Ring and Excellent People!. I bought my wedding band, and I absolutely love it! Their customer service is excellent too. Anybody I talked to on the phone, or by email was friendly and helpful. I do recommend Brilliant Earth, and I’ll definitely buy something from them again!

Wonderful Wedding Ring!. I just received my wedding ring from Brilliant Earth this week. It's absolutely perfect! Customer service is prompt and incredibly helpful. Any question you might have is answered in full. There was someone to guide and help me every step of the way, be it from engraving the ring, payment options, and advice on ring sizing. I am incredibly satisfied and intend to be a repeat buyer.

Perfect Ring!. My partner and I were very concerned about choosing engagement and wedding rings that were not just beautiful, but also environmentally sustainable and socially responsible. Once we found Brilliant Earth we knew it was exactly what we were looking for. Daniella and everyone at Brilliant Earth have been incredibly helpful; honestly the only difficult part of the whole process was picking out the rings we wanted, because they all are so gorgeous!

We couldn’t decide so my partner and I went to the Brilliant Earth showroom in San Francisco to finalize our selection and see the rings in person. We both had such a wonderful time looking at all the different options up close. It was really nice to be able to go in and to truly see how beautiful they were, the website doesn't do them justice! And Daniella, the jewelry specialist, helped us choose an absolutely gorgeous diamond too. I know a little about diamonds myself, but she helped clarify the whole process, enabling me to pick out the perfect diamond for us. And, she was so incredibly respectful of our budget; never once pressuring us to go over what we had initially stated was our limit, something I deeply respect.

Honestly my whole experience with Brilliant Earth was wonderful. I will be returning for all my jewelry needs in the future, fully confident that I will not only be able to get a wonderfully beautiful piece that is environmentally responsible, but also will have excellent service along the way. Thank you very much for the beautiful engagement ring. We look forward to getting out wedding bands soon!

Wonderful Service, Great Rings!. They made me feel like my individual order mattered to them as I received a few emails to be sure that the rings arrived and that they were to my liking. They are beautiful! I cannot wait to use it tomorrow to propose!

Beautiful Sapphires!. I had my eye on a sapphire engagement ring from BE for ages. I was finally ready to purchase and the whole thing couldn't have been smoother! The staff was very knowledgeable and answered any questions I had. I received the ring yesterday and it is beautiful. I'm popping the question later this week and I'm sure my (soon to be!) fiance will feel the same!
