Kate of Hair By Kate does excellent Men's Cuts!

I have a hectic work schedule and need to try to get in for a cut on a day I might have off. I mentioned this to Kate and she was more than happy to try to accomodate me on a walk- in/call-in type basis.

So far, it's worked out good and on the one or two times I had to change the appointment, she was more than understanding and didn't make me feel bad or guilty for having to move it.

I really needed this type of haircut arrangement.

It's a relief to find someone who gives me an excellent haircut and is FLEXIBLE.

I've had more than my share of bad cuts and people making me wear smocks/gowns in the salon, have to make an appt. when leaving, etc.

I don't want all the frills (although Kate has it if you do want that).

Suffice it to say, I'm ecstatic I found Kate and plan to see her for as long as I have hair on my head!

Oh, and she offers free neck trims to her regular clients.

She helps make my life a little less hectic.

I like Kate's personality, and how she cuts and color my hair.

The trick to me staying with a hairstylist, is they need to give good cuts and good, natural looking highlights,- but I have to really like them too.

I found these requirements when I met Kate. I work with a gal that has gone to Kate for quite awhile and I kept looking at her hair and really liking it.

I finally called Kate for an appointment and was lucky to get in, she was all filled up that week, but was willing to come meet me on a Mon. a.m..

I thought it was so gracious of Kate, I don't even know if she works on Monday's.

She patiently listened to what I wanted my hair to look like, and proceeded to make it happen.

I love my highlights, and the cut. I have long hair and she only cut what I requested.

I have made another appointment for March and look forward to it.

• Cons: Parking, but it is the city.

See Bijou for a great haircut

Bijou has been cutting my hair for years. I think she'd be harder to replace than my doctor or dentist. She always makes my hair look amazing. My hair is thinning and I leave looking like I have more hair than when I cam in! I don't know how she does it. By far the best haircuts I've ever had. I never tell her what to do because she does her thing and it always comes out great. She is a true artist.

The Perfect Angle

Bijou is remarkable. I am overjoyed to have found her. I originally went in for a consultation to discuss the sort of hair style I wanted after spending two whole years getting bad haircuts and having just received an even more incongruous cut. At the consultation Bijou listened as I explained each aspect of my hairstyle including what I liked and what I definitely wanted to change. She was very attentive and made affirming remarks about the angles and cuts I suggested. At the end of the consultation I felt she not only understood me, but understood hair and style in general. Then I went back a week later for the cut... Ta dah, Bijou gave me a stunning, perfectly angled cut, exactly what I had hoped for and I have been digging it ever since. She is one of those rare stylists who can sort of divine your best style as well as grasp any details you explain about your hair!

Attention Curly Headed Gals

I have been going to Bijoux for several years now, which is unheard of for me since I have no loyalties when it comes to where I cut my hair. What happened? Bijoux has cut my hair when it has been curly, when it has been straight and has colored it when those tell-tale whites began to emerge. She always listens carefully to what I am requesting, she gives great suggestions and just seems to understand hair, especially curly hair. When I go to Bijou I know I will get a great haircut with a dash of some pizzaz.. I highly recommend her!
