Andrew has helped my skin (I have Rosacea) tremendously. He has a fierce knowledge of the "science" that drives all things relating to the physiology of the skin as well as what is truly beneficial for the skin. I also love that he did not try to "sell" me a bunch of skincare products. He is generous smart consistently professional skilled informed-up to date with a super personality & touch. I highly recommend Andrew and his products.

Excellent in every way!!!. My skin has come a long, long way thanks to Andrew at Blue Turtle Spa. I came in with a variety of problems and I can honestly say that because of Andrew's knowledge and work my skin and confidence have improved greatly. If you have any problems with your skin I would highly advise you to go and visit Andrew. You will be able to see your skin looking softer and younger if you follow his instruction. I really cant say enough about my tremendous experience with Blue Turtle Spa.

Andrew Scoular - Rosacea Expert. I have been struggling with rosacea, which was properly diagnosed by a physician, for approximately two years. I had seen several of ?the best? dermatologists in Georgia. All of which recommended bacteria fighting ingredients, which further irritated my skin and prevented the healing process. My skin was bright red and became swollen and significantly inflamed when exposed to sunlight and when I consumed certain foods. I had spent several hundred dollars on laser treatments and skin care products in an attempt to limit the progression of the disease, which did not effectively treat my condition. In my continual search for relief, I stumbled upon a PDF rosacea document on the internet, which was written by Andrew Scoular. Based on the content of this document, I knew Andrew was very knowledgeable about rosacea. I immediately called Andrew and he recommended a specific regimen based on the current condition of my skin. Keep in mind that I live in Georgia so he was consulting me over the phone without the benefit of assessing my skin visually.

I have been using the recommended cleanser and the ultra calm serum daily for the last few months while following Andrew?s recommended cleansing process. The results have been outstanding. Rosacea can?t be cured so I am not implying that I don?t continue to have challenges with my skin. However, thanks to Andrew, my skin has started to heal and I can now spend time with my family outdoors without my skin reacting violently. His expertise and product recommendations have truly changed my life.

The best skin consultant I have ever encountered. I've encountered over 10 skin consultants in my lifetime and Andrew is by far the most knowledgable. Not only does he give the most attentive,relaxing and pampering experience, but he also recommends products and ways to take care of your skin. Other facialists are usually very secretive about the products they use, but Andrew is very open and honest with the products that he uses and will tell you how they work and help clear up your skin.As a board certified specialty pharmacist, I am very particular about the products that I use. I have checked out the products that Andrew has recommend to me, and I find them to be less harsh than what I have tried.

His products are also affordable and has ingredients that are not harsh to the skin. Andrew charges prices that are below others, but yet gives better service. You should try Andrew even just once, don't take my word for it. You'll see how great he is. I was hesistant to expose Andrew because I don't his appointments to get all booked up- otherwise I won't be able to make one! But seeing that he is now the "Best Spa" according the Guardian- the secret's out!

Amazingly effective skin care specialist. If you are looking for a facial that is custom, effective and soothing you must visit Andrew at the Blue Turtle Spa in West Portal. Andrew is a delightful and thoroughly knowledgeable skin care professional. His command of chemistry and skin make him the ultimate guru for products, remedies and avoiding ingredients that are terrible for your skin.

I'm a girl who likes her facials and I've tried several great places in San Francisco but Andrew rises far above the average esthetician. He listens, analyzes and then creates a customized experience and regime for your skin type. Mine is very sensitive and dry which can be a challenge to treat. In addition, Andrew sets a schedule for skin care that is affordable and effective. He'll make the right determination on frequency of facials for your skin type and you never feel like you're being taken advantage of.

Andrew makes himself available for quick phone consultations and for easy product pick up. Plus he is a "best of breed" product expert so no need to buy the whole line, just the specific quality items that work for your skin.

Once you've met and worked with Andrew you'll become a long-term client. Enjoy!

This quiet West Portal spa provides a little rest and relaxation to the regulars who come back for affordable facials and educated skin consultations.. If your idea of taking care of your face is switching from Irish Spring to Neutrogena, you may want to stop in and meet Andrew Scoular. Scoular is the esthetician behind this fairly small West Portal spa, where customers get a good dose of skin care education (how to get rid of those circles under your eyes, what to use to improve your complection) with even the most basic facial performed in the serene, garden-view space. Waxing and massage services are also available, as are packages that combine treatments.

The Best Skin Care Ever. When I first came to Blue Turtle Spa and met Andrew, I was really hoping that he would be the one to help me with my acne problems. The first appointment was amazing because Andrew had explained to me all about acne, and you can tell that Andrew is extremely well-educated in not just acne, but in all types of skin conditions. Also, just by listening and talking to him, you knew that he cared about your skin and that he was going to put you on the right track to having beautiful and healthy skin, and I know this because my skin has improved greatly over the course of three months. Because of Andrew, my skin has been in its healthiest and most beautiful condition in three years. I am so glad to have found Blue Turtle Spa and met Andrew. Blue Turtle Spa is the best and most wonderful place for skin care. Do not hesitate to see Andrew because he is the most caring and amazing person you'll ever meet, and he definitely knows what's he doing! Andrew and Blue Turtle Spa are my skin saviors. Meticulous, evidence-based skin care. Andrew takes a meticulous, evidence-based approach to skin care, and carefully researches the products that he uses and recommends. I have confirmed the efficacy of a couple of products he suggested for me with an academic dermatologist. In addition to his careful selection of products, his expertise, and serene and warm personality make his facials a completely lovely and relaxing experience.

Knowledge and understanding. I have used the services of Blue Turtle Sap on a number of occasions and will be returning again very soon. The environment of the spa is clean, professional, and first class. Andrew is extremely good at what he does. You can tell right away that he is devoted to providing excellent service with detailed descriptions of what it is he is doing along with the theory and practice at every step in the process.

Andrew is a perfectionist and that shows in his work. He uses the finest skin care products and tools and he is not afraid to switch to new products as the technology evolves. I never felt rushed or even noticed the passage of time while he was going through his procedures on my face. When he was done my face felt as if ten years of stress, age, and pollution had been gently washed away.

I simply cannot recommend this spa highly enough.
