In Short – Dark hardwood floors, angled ceilings and exposed rafters create an attic-like feel at this homey second-floor spa. A chic waiting room displays ultra-feminine lingerie, trendy caps and boho-style duffles, plus a small selection of jewelry, cutesy baby clothes and beauty products by French skincare label Sothys. Spa manicures and pedicures--complete with paraffin dips and mini-massages--are delivered in a sunny street-facing room, while a quiet, dimly lit area in back houses treatment rooms for facials, waxing and massage, as well as a curtained-off yoga space.

Best day spa san francisco

I just went here today for a spa mani/pedi and it was fabulous. The spa is very comfortable and unpretentious. The people working there are very friendly and attentive, constantly offering the customers champagne, strawberries or brownies among other things. My manicurist did a great job and I would definitely go here again. I didn't try any of their other services, but they've got massage, skincare, waxing, tanning and their yoga room looked beautiful. Anyway, if you want the best manicure in San Francisco, go to Cocoon.

Best spa experience ever!

I got my second 'mani/pedi' here a couple days ago and I was very pleased with my experience here. (As a straight male I feel like I have to use quotes there. I don't get enough manicures or pedicures to really need to abbreviate the words.) I had only had one mani/pedi before but it was performed by a man in India and let me tell you it wasn't even close to this.
First of all it seems like Cocoon only hires attractive young women for its staff. Lovely. They are very personable and accomodating and everything is generally set up to provide maximum relaxation. The chair was very comfortable. Despite 45 minutes of doing what they do to your fingers and toes with what appear to be sharp metal instruments, there was no pain as I was lulled into a dreamlike state while reading Esquire and drinking a beer they brought me from the restaurant downstairs.
All in all it was a great experience and I think I will get another mani/pedi in the future. I never knew my fingernails could look like this.
Also I got a massage here a few months ago which was even about ten times more relaxing than the mani/pedi. Recommended!

This place is awesome! Not only is the service amazing, but so are all the staff! Beautiful space located in SOMA. One of my favorite services is the spray tan (yes, I admit it!) They make you look like you actually have a beautiful, bronze tan, as opposed to looking orange (which is usually the case). Great space for showers, bridal parties, bdays!

Hospitable touches like complimentary fresh fruit, cookies, herb-infused water, champagne and wine complete the relaxing experience.
Yoga:
The yoga director, Danielle Marie Giovanello, incorporates Soul Sweat Asana Yoga, Vinyassa Flow and Power Flow classes into her program. Classes are offered in the morning, at lunchtime and in the evenings. Call for a current schedule.
Massage:
Modalities range from herbal poultice massage to traditional Indian head massage. The intense Thai massage, which is performed fully clothed on the floor, is described by Cocoon's owner, Sarah Redmond, as producing results similar to a yoga class--but without having to do any of the work yourself.
Brands:
The retail shop features local designs by Sally Spicer, plus hats by San Diego Hat Company and other apparel from Splendid Clothing, Wildchild and more high-end brands. The spa also exclusively carries the Yogi Toes line of organic, recycled and/or sustainable yoga products.
