Most Charming Hair Salon outside of the City – Julie was fantastic. I LOVE what she did to my hair. Not to mention she is a sweety! At her advice, I purchased conditioner (she didn't push me, I knew I needed a good conditioner) and it works great. Everyone was friendly, the front receptionist even saved me from getting a parking ticket! Best to make appointments on the weekends early in the morning to avoid B'game parking hell. There are two meters out front that are 10 hour and a third out front that is 2 hours. Call ahead to ask about parking and timing if you're nervous. I think the price was reasonable and I left a 20% tip. Another HUGE bonus is that you can get on line and work or check your mail as they have two computers there. I also saw quite a few men getting cuts... The only thing missing was the champagne! Go go go!
"...trendy but still friendly, very good, and affordable." – First let me say that I was a bit nervouse about going to Didi because trendy salons & their staff are usually very good at making me feel like an ugly fish out of water. But since my hair was in need of professional attention, I called & made an appointment for a haircut & color with a stylist named Julie. When I got there the receptionist actually smiled and was nice...hard to believe in Burlingame...I know! Then Julie came out and sat me down for a consultation. She listened to everything I had to say about my hair & offered me her suggestions. After we agreed on a color and style she proceeded to give me the best haircut I think I've ever had! I even love the color! It cost $130 and I gave a $20 tip (which I feel guilty about & is probably why I'm posting this review... I really should have given her more.) Anyway, my point is this place is trendy but still friendly, very good, and affordable. My recommendation is to avoid the weekend mayhem, try this place during the week , & get Julie if you can. PS- I noticed a sign that said their pricing was going to change in November. So go now!
Disappointing...... – I am along time client of L Salon and decided to try something new. To my disappointment the salon seemed was very unorganized. Maybe saturday isn't the best day to go. Seemed like a lot of weary workers. Haircut was mediocore, stylist seemed distracted. Low energy atmosphere not very busy for a weekend. Products weren't what I am accustomed to. Seemed more like beauty supply than high end. Shame on me for ditching Elizabeth and L Salon. Leason learned........
AMAZING-BEST SALON IVE EVER BEEN TO – This salon is pretty new, and i love everything about it. I started going there because my stylist switched salons to didi. The receptionist are SOOO nice and not stuck up compared to most other salons in burlingame. The way the salon was designed and decorated so hip with black red and white. I love evrything about this salon and the stylists are incredible. Highly recommend!!!!!
