The ice-white walls with dark chocolate tones announce this boutique as an ultra-swanky style sanctuary, but more impressive than the interior aesthetics is the selectively chosen fashion. Boasting designer exclusivity and semi-custom couture creations from Peter Cohen, regalia from Vivienne Westwood, and chic designs from Alberta Ferretti, Limu also has items from lesser-known but still-fabulous labels. Limu’s hospitable staff, tasteful style and dream-parlor accommodations arouse adulation from savvy, sophisticated and ready-to-splurge shoppers.

Best Shop in the City. So I'm not a size 2. I was looking for something to wear to my brother's wedding and could not find anything I liked that fit me right. A friend recommended that I look at "Peter Cohen's" collection at LIMU. I cold not believe it, finally, chic, elegant desigenr pieces in my size. Apparantly Peter Cohen even has a collection that goes up to size 3X. I bought a beautiful pair of silk pants with a great organza jacket, which I had to special order since they did not have my size in store. I ended up buying a pair of shoes and a necklace also. The salesperson was very knowledgable about the line and evidently they have a close relationship with the designer and can special order pieces with about a 4 week delivery time.I am a convert. I liked a lot of their accessories and shoes as well. They have a couple of other designers that go up to size 14 also.

I highly recommend this store if you have the taste for beautiful nice fitting clothes and are bigger than a size 6.

My Favorite San Francisco destination. I live in New York and visit San Francisco a few times a year. I always make a visit to LIMU. I love the collections and more than that, the personalized service that I get. The staff is always nice and courteous. They have an eye for unique pieces that all work with each other and the staff is very helpful when you are trying to complete a look.

Now, on occasion I call them and ask them to ship me items. They are very patient in describing the items on the phone. They have my size and list of my favorite things on record and have been dead on most of the times they ship me. I've only had to ship back what they sent on a couple of occasions.



I love that they follow up every purchase with a nice thank-you card.

I am sure to make a stop (or probably a long visit) when I am back in San Francisco.

LIMU- A Failing Attempt. This address once housed a reliable boutique that seemed to vanish overnight. Assuming that the new owner is present upon your visit, you will be welcomed by a mega-phone greeting, which immediately rings the ?insincere? bell. Unfortunately, the experience only goes downhill from there. Once you are forced out of the dressing room, due to a ridiculous mirror that would only be useful to one shopping for cosmetics intended for the dark, the owner literally stares at your body with a contemplative-daze. She then proceeds to inform you that in fact everything is, ?fabulous,? and surely compliments your figure. Sadly, I am not impressed with the atmosphere of LIMU Boutique. In my personal opinion, it had proved to be a disappointment. Perhaps this is simply a sign of the times: Spend less, and look as though you did. Unfortunately, the glamour, class, and charm, that formerly graced this address, has been inundated with cheap items created for a 25 year old body. This will not be the end to your struggles, however. Be prepared to put your hiking boots on, and tread through some tightly crammed racks! Also, heed my warning: If offered a cappuccino, pass as if your reputation depends on it.

Relaxing shopping experience.. What a different experience! The sales people are actually nice and the selection is not just for the kids. Although I noticed they had a lot of younger customers too but I was able to find quite a few things that fit my not so 22 year old body. Not easy these days in the smaller European clothing stores.

The staff were super nice. They make a great Chai Latte too among other things. I opted for the wine!

best boutique. I usually dont enjoy shopping, i find it tedious and boring. But i had a blast at Limu. Not only do they have a fantastic selection, but the salespeople made it a fun experience. The clothes are hip without being trendy.I bought an amazing Alberta Ferreti dress that i adore. Be prepared to drop some cash, as you wont be able to help yourself.

Best Selection in Town. I can't get enough of Limu. It?s not just how unique the clothes and accessories are at this place but also how it is all put together. The only problem is every time I go in I can't to narrow down what I want.

But by far the best part of the experience is how the sales people treat you at Limu. None of that snobby attitude that is common in other upscale shopping environments. I am always welcomed with a smile and a drink!!

Fabulous shopping. I was recently referred to Limu by a dear friend who has been shopping there for 25 years. It turned out to be a truly unique shopping experience for me. The balance between lifestyle and fashion that this boutique offers is impressive. I was able to find a number of pieces that accommodate my active life and still look and feel classy! Sara really helped me find exactly what I need to suite my needs and style. And, to top it off, she showed me how to put it all together. I also feel compelled to mention the exquisite fabrics they offer, including four ply silk, cashmere and leathers. It?s obvious to me that the ladies there are experienced, up to date and care about their clientele.
