Editorial Review for Stacks – by Patricia-Anne Tom
In Short
Patio tables under a striped awning, flower arrangements and help-yourself-coffee give this corner brunch spot a cozy cafe feel. But meals are heartier than standard coffee shop fare. The menu seems nearly endless, with Frisbee-sized pancakes, a broad sandwich selection and egg dishes galore. And while it may take 30 minutes to snag a seat in one of the green-upholstered booths, diners will find service is fast and food is served hot.

Insider Tips
Save TimeYour party won't be seated until everyone is present. But groups of six or more can avoid a long wait by calling in a reservation.
The ExtrasHelp yourself to free coffee or iced tea while you wait for a table. Once you've gone one, you'll find that your server won't give you flack if you need separate checks.
Fun FactTourists or those in love with the place may ask their server about purchasing souvenirs.

Beautiful restaurant in Hayes Valley with both indoor and patio dining. The breakfast's look outstanding... but I've never tried one. The lunch menu looks solid, but I've never tried it. I'm a fan of their outstanding smoothies. They have about a half dozen to choose from and I always order mine to go as take-out. The Tropical smoothy- oj, pineapple, coconut and vanilla yogurt is the best. Check it out!
