Over 110 years in the hat making, Goorin Brothers flagship store in North Beach keeps head rimmed, brimmed, and capped..
If Kevin Federline died and went to heaven, it might look something like Goorin Bros. hat shop in North Beach. Long stacks of library-style shelves (replete with a rolling ladder) are stacked 10 high with handmade fedoras, revamped baseball-style caps, and trendy cloche lids for new-age flapper girls. For the older, more refined clientele there are traditional pin-stripe patterns as well as hats with no pattern at all. Youngsters will enjoy more contemporary designs, even in Prohibition-era hats. A Persian rug covers the hard-wood floors and the small balcony upstairs hosts turntables where DJs spin at occasional parties. Unless you're one of KFed's kids, this isn't your old man's haberdashery.
