The perfect place for slurping ramen or sharing small plates of Japanese street food, this modern Inner Richmond restaurant is young, colorful and easy on the wallet..
Assuming the many plasma TVs constantly showing flickering, hyper-colorful anime and pop videos don't send you into epileptic seisures, this Japanese eatery on Geary's best stretch is a fun way to spend an inexpensive late-night dinner date or big boozey meal with friends. The menu features very traditional (and not terribly healthy) street foods like takoyaki (a sort of octopus dumpling), grilled fish cakes, yakisoba (the Japanese equivalent of chow mein) and tonkatsu, not to mention a number of veggie, meat and seafood noodle bowls big enough to feed a family of four. Feel free to order a little seaweed salad or edamame to off-set the barrage of deep fried goodness and sugary soju cocktails--you surely won't find any healthy raw fish-and-rice dishes here.
