Editorial Review for Vessel – by Joanna Currier
In Short
This unexpected--and unexpectedly urbane--basement lounge is tucked down one of Union Square's quieter alleyways. State-of-the-art light and sound fill the roomy, high-ceilinged space replete with stunning, modern furnishings in faux fur, ultrasuede and wood--including a live juniper tree. Contemporary teak and stainless steel tables have built-in champagne buckets; dancing atop them when the mood strikes is encouraged. An enormous bar, VIP nooks and unisex bathrooms with impressive amenities complete the scene.

Unless getting beaten up by Hwang's henchmen appeals to you, I would definitely recommend avoiding this place!

Nice venue. I loved the atmosphere. However, on the night I went the music sucked. They kept playing the most random songs and nothing that you could dance to. The crowd is also much older, think 30s-40s.
