Good place to eat. Good food and service, nice place to hang out with friends. I went there last month with friends, we spent about $100 in there and have a lot of fun. Try there Chinese beer.

such a bad place!!! if you don't like Chinese Food, you may go there.. these 2 5 stars must be written by 2 hired guns. They are lying!!! I feel cheated. I followed the recommendation and went there. Food there is so bad. totally not real Chinese food. they don't even use fresh vegi to prepare food!! they used canned mushroom and MSG!!!!

Especially like the videos of the venue from Restaurantslive. Boy talk about some of the best Chinese food in the entire bay area. The Szechuan and Mandarian cuisine is superb! No wonder they have been in business on the Peninsula for over 27 years. I try to go there at least a couple of times a month an I love the GauPoang Crispy Chicken have never had anything like it anywhere in the bay area. You have got to try this dish.

Fantastic food & atmosphere, easy parking, and family owned... If you're looking for quality Chinese food, a clean and comfortable ambiance, in a warm and inviting family-owned setting, this is the place!! I live in the city but drive down here to meet with friends often - a great dining experience every time. Dishes are prepared fresh and the restaurant space caters to small/ large groups alike. Gau Poang has many regulars, you often see the owners walking around and visiting with their guests. Feels like family. Definitely worth the visit.

Gem of the Pennisula!! Great Chinese food!!. Gotta love this warm, inviting, family friendly restaurant with amazing Chinese food!! When my family and i heard Gau Poang reopened, we were so excited as they were one of our all time favorites before they closed down the Burligame location. Fortunately, their new location is only a stones throw away!! Everytime we come, we're greeted with happy smiles and leave with nice full bellies!! The restaruant is clean and the food is great. Highly recommend trying the egg/corn soup, eggplant, gau poang chicken and their famous potsickers!! So delicious!! Takes the guess work of "whats for dinner" out of the equation when our family is looking for a place to eat! We are delighted their back and just as great as before!!! Definitely a gem of the pennisula cuisine!!

best chinese food in the peninsula in a clean environment. great chinese food in the peninsula. service is good and the place is clean. food is never oily and the ingredients used are always fresh and quality. owners of this place have been in the business for over 26 years and have great loyale clientele from the peninsula.
