Cozy and intimate karaoke in the Japantown mall!

by gjagiello at Citysearch

Four of us went to Festa recently, and we had a great time. If I were putting a dedicated room for Karaoke in my house, it would be much like this space. The whole place can't be more than 30' x 30' so you'll feel very connected with the other patrons. The song book wasn't huge, but we had no trouble finding a dozen to sing. Some Japanese tracks, and some in English. The specialty coctails were a mixed bag, with the Red Apple Bellini being the favorite, despite the $10 price. The crowd on a weekday was quite mixed -- some regulars at the bar singing some Japanese songs on the wireless mic, a group of 4 students singing Japanese and French songs, some non-singing couples enjoying a couple of drinks then moving on. Definitely swing by Festa if the idea of a low-key, intimate karaoke experience appeals to you.

  • Pros: Cool space, great service, fun karaoke

Best karaoke in town! Great drinks and friendly atmosphere too!

by martindb at Citysearch

We all had a great time at Festa, and we?ll certainly be going there again. It?s a fun place ? great for groups, couple or singles, who come to sing, drink, meet nice people, talk and enjoy the welcoming atmosphere. Owner-manager Masae Matsumoto makes you feel at home as soon as you enter, and serves a wide range of cocktails, fine wines, beer and Japanese sake. The atmosphere is friendly, and the decor features an illuminated model of Tokyo?s night-time skyline as backdrop. Not everybody wants to sing, but for those that do, the karaoke features a wide range of Japanese and Western songs, and the friendly atmosphere encourages all levels of singing ability ? even for people who are normally shy about their singing skills?Overall, Festa is a very nice place to spend a relaxing evening in a friendly environment, whether you are alone, or with a friend or a group?

  • Pros: Great ambience, convenient parking, friendly atmosphere
  • Cons: None

A casual neighborhood bar and karaoke. Great place for stopping by after catching the movies at the Kabuki or unwinding after work. Enjoyed their special "pomegranatini"!
