Out of this world. This is the best place ever. The food is full of flavor, the staff is super friendly, and the prices are even better, the dogpatch is comming up and it's places like this that make you wanna come back.

Salvadorian dishes offer a unique twist to the usual Mexican cuisine found in this Potrero Hill eatery.. The first thing diners notice when they walk into this inconspicuous space may be the smell of plantains frying or quesadillas grilling, but it's the floor-to-ceiling brightly colored macaw mural that definitely makes the biggest impact. The parrot watches over hungry patrons as they enjoy Mexican favorites like taqueria-style tacos, tortas and burritos, or Salvadorian fare like platanos con crema (fried plantains with cream) and pupusas (a thick hand-made corn tortilla stuffed with a any combination of pork, beans, loroco and cheese). And dessert is not to be missed - they serve plantain empanadas and flan that aren't found at many Latin American restaurants.

Love it. I've been here several times. I love all the food they have made for me so far. I would recommend this place to anyone. The food is great and the service is even better.

Fabulous fresh everything. I've been to The New Spot a few times, plus ordered takeout for meetings. Everything I've had has been fresh and tasty. Very yummy papusas.

The previous reviewer was reviewing the OLD PLACE that used to be at this location. The New Spot wasn't open then. Wish Citysearch would remove the review!

Worst Burritos ever. the tortilla was soagy, the beans were runny, guacamole was aged, and the sour cream was almost non existant and the rice was horrible! it was like minute rice, not authentic spainsh rice. Trying to cut corners on the ingredients of a burrito makes a lousy burrito. Don't go there for a burritto!! you are forwarned!!
