In Short
Those expecting another Thai hole-in-the-wall downtown will be taken aback by this cavernous, fancy space near the Embarcadero, with a giant full bar at the back and an outdoor patio. The restauran has a low ceiling and is decked out in woven wicker chairs and frosted glass details over a wood floor; outside, crafty tree-stump stools are used as lounge seating. Dishes include all the traditional Thai favorites such as curries, rice plates, clay pots, pan-fried noodles and large salads.

Had a good experience during lunch so I decided to go for dinner. Terrible service and the waitress kept arguing with us. She brought only half the dishes we ordered. We paid and left. Thinking that maybe it was an isolated incident I went back and even worst the third time. Got our appetizers and drinks but had to wait for hours for the main course and they got it wrong. Great food but horrible service. I think its because of the language problems of the wait staff and money is deducted from the waiter/waitresses pay if the management has to fix anything for customers so needless to say they wont admit any mistakes. I don't recommend it at all.

This restaurant is always busy during lunch and dinner, but it is always worth the wait! I love their food -- their appetizer (Fried Tofu w/ peanut sauce, fresh spring roll), their drinks (thai iced tea and alcoholic mixed drinks), their entree (yellow curry chicken and volcanic beef), their desserts (sticky rice with mango)... It is so so good!!! I definitely recommend this restaurant to all my friends, acquiantances, and family.

most horrific dining experience in SF to date. I JUST got back from lunch at Osha and am beyond outraged by this place. If you care at all about service and management, DON'T eat here! My sister and I were seated at the bar for a day-after my birthday lunch. We sat at the bar for 15 minutes, starving, until i was able to flag someone down to take our order. Everything seemed OK after that, until my food arrived abour 8 minutes before my sisters. I look at the check. I see, "Diet coke - 4 ($2.00) - $8.00". I'm sorry, $8.00 for diet coke?????? I say to the bartender, "you never told us we were being charged for the refills." She says "This is a thai restaurant. we charge for refills. I didn't know you didn't know". whhhhhaaaatt?? So, these sodas were TINY, and glasses were filled with mostly ice. I say, "well, most places don't charge for refills and you didn't tell us". So we pay, and I go to the front to speak to the manager (which I never do) because an apology or a free appetizer will easily redeem this place. I start to explain to the manager how the service was horrible and slow and we had to flag the bartender down everytime we needed something. My sister says that most places have free refills and we should have been told about the charge. The manager then gets all bitchy (it's a man) and says "um, this is a THAI restuarant, we charge for refills". WTF? No other thai place does. Aqua doesn't. McDonalds doesn't. So my sister says she was a server for 5 years and most places dont and the manager says "thats not true, i disagree, we don't have to give free refills". DUUUUUUDDEEEEE was alll queen b*tch about it. So, I say "well, between the bad service and the refill charge, we were really not happy with our service" and my sister starts to say something and the manager makes the "shush" hand sign in her face and says "can i only talk to her". B*tch just shushed my sister!

Where to Sit:
On sunny days, the place to be is on the sprawling patio. In cooler weather, ask for a seat at one of several indoor loveseat nooks.
Know Before You Go:
Find the entrance at Four Embarcadero Center, around the back of the building, on the park.
