In Short – This bright, no-frills SoMa restaurant (with a sister location in the Lower Haight) is decked out in yellow and beige tones, with a mural of horses and herding animals dominating one wall. Chefs keep a frenetic pace in the open kitchen, churning out curries, tandoori dishes, several varieties of naan and more Indian specialties for the crowd. By day, the two-top tables are filled with workers on lunch break, while by night, a low-key neighborhood crowd filters in.
