view & uploadThe pizza was next to none. It was kind what you can expect from an Italian restaurant, was comfy and a little classy. The best part was the pizza, topped with nothing but thick layers of cheese, meatballs, olives, pepperoni, peppers and mushroom. oh yes, so so goodie!
Bravo...Best pasta and pizza I have ever had in a fast-food place.
Ok, when I think Italian fast food, I think of Sbarro and the other junk littering malls. In the new San Francisco Center, there's an amazing place called Pasta Moto. I've actually heard people in my office talk about it, but I never had a chance to visit the food court (or as the mall has it, "Food Emporium") in the center before. I must tell you, the "Food Emporium" is rather nice, with nice tables and actual plates, but I was actually more impressed by the quality of food I had that day. I really wanted Italian, plus the other places honestly didnt look too appetizing (with food in steam tables, etc). I had a margherita pizza with vegetables and chicken and my friend had the ravioli with tomato sauce. When I first ordered and paid, I was a little shocked at the $30+ price tag (with glass of good wine and a beer), BUT it tasted like food I would get at a restaurant, no joke, and for 1/2 the price - plus, the wine was really good.
Needless to say, I will be back and will venture down to the "Food Emporium" to eat. Good to see some familiar faces like Buckhorn and Bistro Burger (both just OK to me), but I will have to try some of the other places.
Editorial Review. Casual, quick-service restaurant specializes in made-to-order pasta dishes, panini, pizza by the slice and more Italian favorites.
