Editorial Review for Slide – by Stephanie Laemoa
In Short
There are two ways to enter this moody, cave-like bar: descending the stairs or through the custom-made, serpentine slide. Once inside the main space, digital video screens flash images of San Francisco and booths of various sizes take up most of the wall. Much of the space is dedicated to the dance floor and a DJ booth cranks 80s and 90s mash-ups for an energetic, mostly urbanite crowd.

We decided to celebrate my 26th and my cousins 25th birthday last night (a Saturday) @ slide. The music was nice (Zhaldee), but I am upset at how the night started. I would like to understand the slide's reasoning for only letting a one girl for every guy ratio. My brother had to wait outside alone while everyone else was inside. Please tell me if I am wrong, but aren't guys the ones who spend the money to buy the drinks? I had seen several males get in who are not accompanied by a female. I never have experienced anything like this before and I have gone to many many club in the city. Another thing the bouncer, told us that the other people in our party had to wait in line, but when I looked outside all I can see is a crowd of people gathered at the door. My cousin's boyfriend had a table last night and the person who made the arrangements should have let him know that there was a boy-girl ratio. He paid $700 for one table. We had several people who didn't even bother and just went to another place. So if you are still willing to go there, be prepared to wait for more than an hour and bring the same amount of girls as boys.
Pros: music
Cons: employees, boy-girl ratio, waiting time to get in

This place is awful, Staff, bouncers, bartenders they are bunch of jerks and you cant even get in unless you have bunch of girls with you. if you are single and with guys; good luck getting into this stuck up place. The staff treats you like less then human or second class citizens. I will never go back into this overrated, overpriced *%^* hole place. "D-"
Pros: good decor
Cons: overrated, awful, very rude staff, no value for customers.
