In Short – This 22,000-square-foot club owned by DJ Paul Henning (Zen City) features a state-of-the-art sound system and stylized decor rooted in Asian antiquities. Three large rooms with bars feature very different vibes. The sprawling, high-ceilinged ground floor glows entirely white, from top to marble floors; a small mezzanine area overlooks the mostly dance and house scene. Downstairs, a more intimate "Destiny Lounge," replete with white leather couches, plays hip-hop. A larger, dark, sexy, basement "catacombs" area features a mix of music styles. Buddhas, sandstone carvings and…

MY FIRST EXPERIENCE: When I heard that Honey Dijon and David Harness were playing at the Temple I Was like F*ck Yeah! I gathered the house head troop of 11 people. We all put our self on the guest list. We got there at about 10:20pm to get in free before 11pm only to find a very long line that wrapped around the side of the building. It was ridiculous. I realized, through observation, that the bouncer was VERY slowly letting people in. Basically the "guestlist before 11" thing is a crock of sh*t. They purposely slow down that line so the majority will eventually have to pay. in short you gotta get there before 10pm (when the club opens) in order to maybe get in before the 11pm cut off time. Bullsh*t guestlist! to top it off I asked 15 people if they knew who was playing just to see if they even cared about the DJ's and NOT ONE person knew.
SO if your going for the love of music and a positive vibe...DO NOT GO HERE
we ended up going to 222 hyde for an afro joint event which felt right and I'm glad I did.
- Pros: ummm a lot of people
- Cons: but majority are not there for music. Guestlist is BS
just a typical club

"How do you f*ck up Vodka/Cran? $6.50 on 1 dance floor and $7.50 on the other tells me that the bartenders are charging what they feel like charging and skimming "tips." Spacious dance floors is another way of saying "everyone is across the street." I'd be generous in saying this club is "typical." This place exhibits symptoms of a bad club: Eminem impersonator's, $10 drinks in plastic cups, 21y/o rookie drinkers with girlfriends who bought Exedrin thinking it was Ex and pretending to be Tila Tequila.
Hint to the owner's: the Buddha decor is sooo last year, Tao Vegas beat you to the point as well as a dozen or so Clubs in LA, NY, and all over Europe. And it pays to discriminate: kick the posse to the curb.
Silver lining? Upper dance floor has high ceilings, music/spin is one of the best I've heard, you can get pre-sale tkts online, sometimes (save 2 bucks or so). Because they do let Vanilla Ice's crew in the door, the me to hot chick ratio is improved (ha). Would I return? Maybe"
BTW, eevn though the club was empty there is a no re-entry plicy. maybe this place deserves 2 stars
- Pros: Not a lot fo people
- Cons: The reviews do not match my experience, they must have paid people to say good things about this place, NOT TRENDY
