Good Pedi. The manicurist is skilled. Did a good job on my pedi. Very nice atmosphere and decoration. Overall it is a great place for mani and pedi. Would surely come back again.

Best Manicure I've Had. It was one of the best manicures I've had in terms of no chipping until after two weeks I had them done (good for those who likes dark polish). The lady was able to give me exactly what I wanted with color and the shape of my nail. The pedicure was average like any other pedicures I've had in the past. Both treatments was done with the soy milk and my skin felt so smooth! You get to sit in these extremely comfy reclining chairs. You can almost fall asleep! I went near closing time (6:30pm) and the place was empty. Service was great. They certain took their time and are known not to reuse their nail files and buffers. Only cons are: a bit pricey and not convenient location unless you leave around the Cow Hollow, Marina, Russian Hill neighborhood.

Best Mani-Pedi in town. I moved away from San Francisco last year and couldn't wait to get back to Bamboo. They are the best salon in town. Being a nurse I am especially concerned about steralization. I would never go anywhere else.

Better Than Most Bargain Spas. This is one of the few bargain spas I will go to, alas now only for manis more than pedis. They don't have germ laden spa chairs but rather reclining chairs and refillable/washable bowls although they've added more chairs since the last time I was there so it's a little claustrophobic. The owners have a background in the beauty biz so they get a few points for that. Listen to bossa nova and enjoy not being so much in a fish bowl since they are below street level. Cheaper than the pricey place around the corner and techs who aren't space cadets unlike the other bargain spa around the corner. As always it's best to make an appt.

Great mani pedi- not impressed with the facials!. The best mani pedi ANYWHERE in the city. People who work there are great, attentive, kind and it is so relaxing. The facial was not good! they open and close the door- turn on and off the facut, not prepared, running around to get products.

spend your money on the good stuff- nails- not facials!

No need to book an apt-they don't keep them!!. I USED to be an regular customer at Bamboo and loved it, until recently! I went in on a Friday was 15 min late to my appointment (that I had booked on Monday) but the place was dead, so I figured no worry they can still fit me in! Turns out they couldn't fit me in cause they didn't have my appointment on the books and were too busy giving the staff massages!

A lovely place!!. I've been to Bamboo twice. First for a mani and pedi - and another visit for a facial. The staff is very attentive, the place is clean, and overall a great, relaxing atmosphere. I'll definitely keep going back to Bamboo!

An Urban Oasis. Bamboo is truly the most relaxing place in the city. I actually fell asleep while my pedicure was drying in one of their tipped back comfy leather recliners. The staff is great and manicures last for DAYS!

Reasonable prices and great service make for divine manis and pedis.. The Scene
Just below street level, this urban retreat sets a mood of relaxation as soon as you float down the stairs past the Japanese fountain and into a small tranquil space accented by muted green hues and a bamboo wall. Slip into a black leather reclining chair and let your feet soak in a gorgeous lacquered wooden bucket. Citrus, flower petals and aromatherapy oils provide soothing concoctions for tired fingers and toes.

The Services
While this spot offers facials and lash perms, the mani/pedis are a specialty. Skilled technicians and extra details, like warm lotion for hand and foot massages, put this spa a step ahead of the rest. Staff puts you at ease throughout the treatments, reclining your chair just before the massage portion for optimum comfort. If your agenda is just a manicure, sleek wood tables and chairs offer an equally impressive experience.

The Details
Manicure/pedicure, facials, waxing, brow and lash tints, lash perms.
