Distracted, overly busy, and pushy staff.
I went here on a Saturday at 10:30 a few weeks ago with my mom and sister for deluxe pedicures for my mom and me and manicure for my sister. Despite having made an appointment a week prior, when we arrived, there were not enough technicians to work on us. My sister and I waited 30 minutes while one technician did my mom's pedicure. (The two other technicians were already assisting other customers with manis/pedis.)
When finally it was my turn, Christine started my pedi, but she was constantly distracted by walk ins, telephone calls and other issues. She kept getting up, talking on the phone and handling business, which made for a less than relaxing pedi. Christine barely massaged my calves or feet and rushed through the pedi. She kept pushing me to get a manicure and have my brows waxed and kept asking if my sister wanted a pedicure too.
My sister's manicure didn't start until I was half way done with my pedicure. (By this time, my poor mom was just sitting in the corner, with nothing to do since she had been done for a while.)
I was paying for all of the services and since it was $70 I took out my Visa to pay. I told her to add $20 for the tip. Christine made a face and asked if I had cash. I didn't have enough cash on me and said I could only do $85. Christine then took my cash and charged my Visa for the remaining $5 tip! I thought it was really rude and inappropriate but I was so shocked at the time i didn't even know what to say.
I had chosen this place because it was in the Stonestown mall (convenient) and looked nice. But I don't plan to return because of the bad/pushy service. The process was stressful and not fun at all.
