I have been twice and I am through. My white dress shirts came back with normal brown garden dirt still on them. They said they could not clean white shirts very well because the detergents nessasary are too strong and will damage the garment , therefore I should have my white cotton shirts dry cleaned at 6.$ each. I am an un married straight SF male and even I can get a white cotton shirt white at the corner laundy matt. . Also thier idea of "Heavy Starch" is weak. The general feel of the place is depressed with no pep . The young guy at the register was real joy to work with. I should have read some of these reviews first.

I went to this place only after my regular cleaners were closed due to some family emergency. I received my clothes back, average condition, nothing outstanding but 30% more expensive. However, one of my shirts was stained...my $125 Hugo Boss shirt!! Now, I had gotten over 30 items cleaned so it was 3 weeks later when I went to wear it did I notice the stain. My usual cleaner notes pre-existing stains and either the item is not cleaned or a note is left on the item or the customer is contacted. This, however, was not done. Instead, the first response I was given was that, "you probably had the stain before and never noticed it". Followed by, "...it looks like the stain is at least 2 months old", and then, "I'm sure the other cleaner did it". They even went so far as to derogate the other store as to its inferior cleaning service! The older lady there, claiming to be the owner was extremely rude. She outrightly claimed that the stain is 2 months old after only a 10-second look. I was getting upet by this point and questioned the validity of their presumptions and asked for a letter in writing stating what they felt and a copy of my receipt. Another guy, claiming also to be the owner wrote the letter and then apologized for what happened. I told him that I appreciated the apology but it was a little late. I mean, regardless of fault, an apology should have been the first thing out of his mouth. Not, "we're not responsible...pre-existing damage...other store probably did it..." kind of response!! Heck, I'm going back to my old cleaners at SOMA. They are always friendly and nice and really care for their customers even back when I first started going there. They may not have as big or fancy a store but I'll take cheerful over angry any day. Businesses run on customer service and Fanta has none.
