I don't know anything about bikes but they always help me!. I don't know anything about bicycles yet whenever the fiance sends me in here to get something, everyone is really nice to me and helpful, they never try to sell me more than I need like other shops could, and I never feel overwhelmed. They seem to have a huge selection, and though I can't confirm that they are reasonably priced, they don't seem overly expensive otherwise my fiance wouldn't send me there whenever he needs something.

Keep on rollin.. They were willing to take time and explain to me the different options for cycling, including mountain and road. I felt I was better able to make an informed decission and purched a mid range mountain bike which I could also use in the city. The reverse would not be true. prices were highly competitvie.

GO for all biking needs!. I am newly into the sport of cycling and have visited many shops around SF - Performane is by far the most friendly to non-pros and has the best selection. From bikes to accessories to clothes they have it all and the staff is friendly (imagine that) and very knowledgeable. When you go to Performance ask for Ron - he is an encyclopedia of information and always has time to explain things to newbies like me.
