Big, messy, sloppy, meaty, cheesy sandwiches that are constructed beautifully. My stomach grumbles just thinking about one. I adore the spicy chicken tinga, but the pierna enchilada is the most famous one. Do not attempt to eat an entire one yourself (unless you're really wasted).

An international sandwich shop serving up a little bit of everything just off the main Mission drag .. From the name and neighboring taquerias, it's pretty clear that tortas are the house specialty, but this small diner deals out the traditional Mexican sandwiches alongside Italian paninis and American-style subs. Vegetarians will appreciate the selection of ingredients like eggplant, goat cheese and grilled vegetables, plus the vegetarian torta, something almost unheard of at more by-the-book places. The menu also includes tacos, salads, breakfast sandwiches and a huge list of beverages, including aquas frescas.

Great lil sandwhich stand.. I get a sandwhich here about once or twice a week. Its great for early morning breakfast food while you wait for your Ride or Bus. Excellent fast Lunch stop to.
