What happened to customer service? – I went to Best Buy yesterday to buy a Kodak camera. I did my research on the internet and found that Best Buy carried the model I was looking for. I enter and am greeted by their "door" employee. I head to the camera department where I see three employees hanging around, talking, oblivious to the customers needing help. I am one of them. I circle and circle looking for the Kodak display which I finally find. No digital cameras to be found. I finally walk up to the employees when two of them quickly walk away. The one employee has no where to run so she helps me by saying we don't carry Kodak. Oh, really? The website says you do. At this point a good customer service representative would offer a comparable product and provided some attention. I needed a camera and you had many to sell. I won't ever return. I have told many friends since yesterday to find that Best Buy is known for poor customer service from the employees on the floor, cashiers and management. By the way, I tried Target since it was nearby and found the camera and super customer service in helping me make a great selection. Maybe Best Buy is just too big and no longer trains their employees in customer service.
Best Buy Service – I went to Best Buy in Colma on the 1st of December and bought a Sony laptop. I spend 825.00 on that and when I took it home, the packing was missing the laptop battery. I thought that was a bit unusual and took it back to the store. This is what happened??? I went back to the same store and requested to talk to a manager. I explained him what happened and he tells me that he can not do anything about that. I was shocked, spended $825.00 buying this laptop and I can not even use it. The manager’s name was Richard and I don’t think he belongs there. I am a rewards member with Best buy and shop with them for years. If I had to buy something, the only place I went to was best buying but not anymore! After what I went through. The frustrating part was the way the manager talked to me. I request him if I could talk to someone higher then him. Mr. Richard tells me that he is the only one but that is not right, there should be someone higher then him. I felt that I was not treated right and this smart Manager tells me to call 911 if I needed help. A store manager tells me that. Few words about this 911 number is for emergence only and if a store manager does not know that then he is a danger to his co workers as well as his customers. I don’t know how best buy picks this managers but I think that they need to work on that. I will never go back to best buy and I am sure that I will tell everyone what service I got at the Best Buy store in Colma, CA
Good one stop shop, but has its downsides – You can probably find what you want here, but you may have to deal with frustration in the process, and while some items are a good deal, others are definitely not.
I go to this store semi-regularly because it is close by. The staff is usually willing to help, if you can find someone who doesn't quickly walk away when they see you approaching. Prices on a lot of items are great, but other things seem higher than what I've seen elsewhere. Definitely do your research before going in to buy.
The parking lot is horribly designed and it always ticks me off having to navigate it. Inside the store, even with the re-oganization, things are often in places that don't make sense intuitively and are often shelved incorrectly.

All the electronic products needed at great prices. – The store is huge. Check out selection of electronics through appliances. Not always the lowest price but you can correct that with proof from other stores and price will be maxed. Great DVD selection.
