AVOID THIS SCAM ARTIST. I got taken for a ride by this guy. I needed two new locks installed at my home. The guy "Idan Finkelstein" gave me just a vague quote by phone and said he'd need to see the doors before giving me a firm quote. When he arrived he said the cost would be "around" $160.00. He did the work, and then told me he can't accept checks or credit cards -- cash only. We went to an ATM and I asked again if $160.00 was the final price, and he said no, it's $600.00.

I don't know how much this stuff is supposed to cost! It seemed high, but??? So I took out the max I could from my ATM, which was $300.00 and said that's all I could give him. He tried to convince me to try taking it out of my savings to get around the daily maximum, but that's not how it works. So he said he could come pick up the remainder the next day. Fine. But he'd like a check to hold as collateral. Fine.

I got suspicious (too late!) after he left, typed in the name on his business card and found this guy to be a KNOWN rip-off artist who was featured on the local news in a consumer fraud report. I immediately called my bank to put a stop payment on the check (this is 20 - 30 minutes after he left my house) and they told me he had already cashed it.

BEWARE of this person. Reading the other reviews here, I feel I got off relatively lightly compared to some.

Expensive lesson learned.

STAY AWAY - reported as SCAM artist on ABC 7 on your side.. Came by to open a lock. Charged 3 times going price of 125 dollars ($400+). Said he replaced pieces, but just picked the lock and nothing else.

No sign on his van. A dog in the back. Current name on card was Idan Finkelstein.

Took advantage of us, but we got off relatively easy compared to other reports online.

Don't use 411, you'll get a shady guy like this.

Use the Yellow pages, check their license and contractor #s!!!!

I am a former worker of these clowns, stay away!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!. these guys are bad news. I worked for them fpr about 5 days. first of all they work out of a office in one location. it is a small office with a number of phones hooked up. and if you see there ad what happends it is all goes into one line and one office.

they have no locations, and the adressed are are b.s. the stupid phone company literally will go out and hook up lines at various places. it is crazy. the phone company probably is in to thousands of dollars of uncollected phone bills with these guys. they constantly change numbers, but new ones, and it is a ever going nightmare.

every thing you read on here is 100 percent true. i am disappointed i missed the michael finney investigation on the news. they will rip you off blind. and of course while they are paying cash you learn to know no better. they are in a office building above the happy donuts on the 2100 block of van ness ave. go to the building management team and they will tell you what suite they are in. that is if they are still located there.

now i have a reccomendation. people, find a locksmith before you ever need one. it is a stressful situation and one of desperation. that is why they get away with it. i reccomend a place with a office that makes keys, sells lock related items, and has field crew that does jobs.

second, do not call 411 and ask for a locksmith. you will get led to other bad people as well. do you think a good company will have a name "LOCKSMITH". NO WAY. and if you look in the phone book under locksmith there are several numbers all the same name. why, they lead to universal numbers of certain companies.

finally, i do not care what service, never deal with someone in a car. moshe is the crook's name or nick, and bottom line is he is in a car. if you ever deal with a plumber, locksmith, whatever and they show up in a car, you better know them very well.

hope this helps and if any of you are going after these men legally, then i hope there office is current.

NIGHTMARE! These guys are crooks!. Please email joejack111111@yahoo if you have any information on this locksmith.

Recently, my place got broken into by some guys that kicked open my front door. I was out of town at the time so my roommate came home to a busted doorframe and broken lock at abt 6pm. He found these locksmith guys in the yellow pages and had them do some emergency service, which included two new deadbolts and doorframe repair, until about midnight. When they were doing the work, they kept asking my roommate whether we had home insurance, which we did. The job turned out to be $5000 (no joke) total. Not knowing how much these things cost, he went ahead and gave these guys his credit card number.

The job was sloppy and makeshift. I still need to get a contractor in to do further repair. Luckily, I think my insurance company will cover at least half of the cost. I feel like I got robbed twice! These guys are scam artists and take advantage of people's unlucky situations. Don't let it happen to you! Will take them to court too.

STAY AWAY FROM THESE GUYS!!!. The guy showed up and said (before looking at our lock) that he can't pick it and would have to replace it. We asked how much that would be and he said $140 for the call and $210 for the lock. We said we don't have that kind of money. He hadn't even touched anything and told us "fine, give me my $140 for the call and I will leave otherwise I'll call the police." Being that we were standing outside at 10PM with our baby and nothing else but the clothes on our back we let him drill the lock. He then told us it was going to be even more than that. After arguing with this man for a half an hour he "gave us a break" and charged $230. We called two other lock smiths and they both said that they charge $145 to get in, no matter what it takes. If they can't pick it, they replace it for the same total of $145. Sure we got scammed, but I'm sure it could have been a lot worse. Don't let it happen to you!

I really feel this guy doesn't know how to pick locks and automatically drills anything he comes across. The more I questioned the guy about his name and phone number of the company, etc., the more agressive he got. STAY AWAY from them! We're going to replace our lock ASAP because we just don't trust them.

One of the most horrible experiences of my life.. A locksmith for this company came to unlock my car. I asked several times on the phone how much it would be, and they would not give me a straight answer, saying they would have to wait until the locksmith got there to tell me. I asked if it would be under $100, and they said yes. Once he unlocked my car, I looked and still couldn't find my key. So then I asked if they made keys, and he said yes, that he would have to replace the ignition, and it would be around $300 or $400. So he asked me if I wanted him to start the car for me, and I said sure, because I assumed there was some way he could do that. Then I got on the phone with the dealership. After speaking with someone there they told me that he would not be able to start it because of an anti-theft device in it. So I walked over to him and told him that, only to find him drilling and hammering into my ignition, having completely destroyed it. I told him to stop, and he said he couldn't get it started anyway. And I said,"So you didn't even do what you told me you were going to do, and you ruined my ignition?" And he said yes. Then he told me I owed him $184 for unlocking the car, and I told him it shouldn't be over $100, and he said that is what I owed him, and I was alone and scared by the way he was acting, so I paid him. I took it to the dealership, they fixed it for $483 , and said he should be liable for paying for the damages. When I called to reach someone, they kept hanging up on me, and finally someone told me to quote "Go f*ck myself". So I am taking them to small claims court. I would never ever use this company ever in any circumstance for anything.

Think again before calling.. I used my cellphone 411 to get an emergency locksmith and was connected to Any Time Locksmith, which is an affiliate of this company. I expected to pay dearly, but not $652. The locksmith came in an unmarked truck with a "buddy"; had no business card to show me, and was vague when I asked questions. There is no invoice number on his writeup.
