Best Stylist in Town. I am pretty much the most difficult client there is to work with. I think I know exactly what I want and what will look best on me, so needless to say its quite outsanding when I walk out of a salon with a big smile on my face ready to take on the day. But that is exactly whats happened at the The John Brody Salon. I have now been to The John Brody Salon twice, both times seeing Rodney. He is the most amazing colorist I have been to. He took me from a borning brown to a natural looking summer blonde and then just recently took me from the blonde back to a chocolate brown. I can say with all certainty that you will not find a more trustworthy and knowledgeable hair stylist in all of SF. He also cut my hair the first time around and it has held up great and I still recieve compliments. If you haven't been to The John Brody Salon, you must go. And if you want to walk out confident and feeling as great as your hair looks, ask for Rodney. You wont be disappointed!

Found my missing Kat - Phew!. Imagine my horror when I learned that my styling goddess, Kat, was leaving Notorious for Hair. Shortness of breath, etc. Got it? Now, imagine my delight when I found out she was moving just around the corner to a gorgeous space with lots of light and air and the same reasonable prices. Something like cherubs singing and strumming harps. Yes, Kat is that good. I've been seeing her for about a year now, and she has taken me with style and all-out delicious gorgeousness from (oh, so this is what happens when your shaved head grows out) to (I need something fab to go with my bright orange streaks). I was lucky enough to nab an appointment with Kat on her first day at John Brody, and she worked her magic as usual. She helped me out when my thick, stubborn Chinese hair was determined to resemble Hillary Clinton's mane, saved me from being a Chia-Pet lookalike, and propelled me into hair-compliment-heaven. I love Kat, and so can you.

Great Salon Without the Trendy Salon Attitude. I followed my stylist - Jason - from Project X/XAR to here. He's a great stylist because he understands what his clients want and knows what will work. I wanted to keep my hair length but somehow get more volume in my hair and that's exactly what I got. I didn't have to style my hair for quite a few weeks afterwards because of the way he cut it. I recommended him to my friend, who has high-maintenance hair and she fell in love with the cut. I especially like that this place isn't ridiculously expensive like the trendy downtown salons which charge a ludicrous amount of money.

Great cut and color. The wonderful Jason has moved to John Brody Salon. Yeah!!!! The salon is great. Very relaxing and comfortable. Every member of the staff is friendly and welcoming.

Jason was at Project X for awhile. He is a wonderful stylist. He gave me a really cute, updated layered look, leaving my hair long but giving it so much more body it doesn't seem like my hair. And he corrected my totally screwed up color. By my own devices, I was starting to look like one of those crazy old ladies with the remaining few strands of hair dyed blue-black. Now I look great. The color is natural but vibrant and the cut is really flattering. Best haircut ever and a very enjoyable salon experience.

The Hairstyle I've Been Searching For...Finally!. Ryan was able to take the boring and frankly unflattering hairstyle I'd received elsewhere and turn it into the haircut I really wanted! Genius, pure and simple. Now if I can only motivate myself to get to his new yoga studio....well one triumph at a time! I'd recommend his salon to anyone who's been searching for an allusive style.

Most Amazing Color I've EVER Had!!!. I came in to the salon because I totally screwed up my hair...myself. OK, so what, I owned up to it from the start. I met with Ryan, one of the owners and he sat me down and we talked about why the hell I did this to myself?? He rocked! Ryan totally fixed my hair and no more orange for me. :) He also made me feel comfortable and at ease (and he's hella hot!). The salon was huge and very stylish with really cool art around. The people who work there are very nice and I just like the feeling there. I highly reccommend this place!

Fabulous Salon!. From the moment you walk into the beautiful open space salon, you get an overwhelming sense of welcome. Ryan is hair styling genius! You have to check out the John Brody Salon.
