Bestest, most coffiest deliciousness.
I come here often now that I've moved to north beach. And so far... Nothing beats this place! Absolute awesome and friendly service, amazing coffee with a great selection, free wi-fi, soothing atmosphere, I honestly could go on forever (and ever).
This is a place to come to when you just wanna hang out, write, read, and drink coffee. Awesome waffles too!!

North Beach SF - AWESOME - bandwidth - free wifi - wi-fi - beer - happy hour - wharf - San Francisco.
The best free wi-fi (wifi) in San Francisco. Outrageous happy hour from 5-10 pm $1.50 drafts and good beer. Really sweet to have a few beers and pick up a few downloads, etc. I downloaded an ISO and a fresh set of my favorite C compiler source before I could finish half a bottle of beer!!!
This is the place. There are a few place nearby that made the citysearch best wi-fi 2008; they can't make the line-up now. Check it out, and see why they *rule*
Great Customer Service. This is a first time message and it was a great restaurant to visit years ago and it hasn't changed at all for great customer service. I lived on Green Street, off Grant Avenue as a young girl and woman; I am now 85 years old. After dinner my father would amble down to the Columbus Cafe a half a block away to meet his old cronies and have a "cicatoon," or two which would be an ounce or two of bourbon. This cafe was his favorite place and he would generally stay there for about a half-hour, then home to bed. Columbus Cafe was a great place to eat and although most Italians would prefer to eat at home, once in a great while we would visit the cafe for a wonderful Italian meal.. Of course, my mother always thought her food was better, but then that's Italian.
Low-key coffee house serves up above-average lattes and light cafe fare..
In Short
It's easy to stroll past this understated coffee shop, but once inside the ambience is spacious, comfortable and welcoming. Coffee drinks, tea, beer and wine are served alongside bagels, wraps and sandwiches. Specialty drinks include lattes, soy lattes, and deep, dark, espresso. Wooden tables provide plenty of indoor seating for quiet work or study (the venue is a Wi-Fi hotspot); outdoors, several tucked-away tables get fairly constant sun.
