Health-conscious Carnivores. At Pearl's it's all about the meat. Because it's organic, from grass-fed beef (they even have Kobe beef as an option), it's good to stick with basics. The wonderful flavor of their primary ingredient is such that it would be a shame to smother it in ketchup, or to add anything that's sub-par. To this end they offer several better-than-usual choices for cheese, the bacon is great and even the hot dogs are a thing of beauty. They also carry a yummy assortment of malts and milkshakes, and offer unique sides (sweet potato fries, half-and-half fries & onion rings). Sadly there's only French's mustard; in fact the condiments are lacking.

It's nothing fancy. At all. And this is another plus, as it's easy to drop in without thought to how one happens to be dressed. The service is very friendly and efficient, and the place looks especially clean.

Editorial Review. Tenderloin location of the popular Marin diner serves juicy burgers, hot dogs, chili cheese fries and old-fashioned malts.

Awesome burgers!. i've lived in SF for all of my 34 years and about a year ago, a couple of friends told me about this amazing burger place about 5 minutes from my house in J-town. As it turned out, the SF location had only been opened for less than a couple of years, but it had this huge following at their other location in Mill Valley for a while. Okay, let me get to the food. It's truly a local joint...no frills atmosphere but definitely clean, and the burgers are second to none. I find myself going there for lunch or dinner probably 5 or 6 times a month now for the Giant Cheddar Bacon burger and 'Frings', which is what they call a basket of fries and onion rings. Every now and then, I'll have the Buffalo burger, which my out-of-town friends have continued to rave about since I brought them over there last summer. I highly recommend this joint to anyone based on the quality, taste, and the large portions you get at this place.

Pretty good burgers and shakes. Burgers are in my top 3 favorite foods, and since this place opened up on my block, I had to try it. I've been 4 times now, and my experience has been mixed. I find that the simpler the burger, the better it is. 1/2lb cheeseburger = very good. Wacky Hawaiian pineapple teriaki burger = not so much. The shakes are pretty decent, and they have interesting combinations to keep you trying more. For comparison, my favorite burgers in the city are Sliders, Taylor's Automatic Refresher, and the unnamed place in Sausalito on Bridgewater. Good to have em in the hood, for sure.
