Why all the hype?. I have no idea why people love this place so much. The food is mediocre at best and the service is terrible. I went here with 2 friends and they served me my food as well as one of my friends. They took so long to serve my other friend that we literally finished our food before she received hers. And she had ordered a salad! That is just not ok. Go squat your gobble Squat & Gobble!
Sqaut and Gobble Cafe. I found that the Sqaut and Gobble was a very nice place to be at. There are alot of tables, good food and its a very popular spot to hang out at. When I went to Sanfrancisco with my family thats all we went to for breakfest pretty much. My dad and younger brother loved their fresh orange juice that you could see being sqeezed right in front of you by a machine. It was very cool looking! My mom, grandmother, aunt loved it if they could I bet they would have stayed there forever talking and drinking coffe . Well thats my story I would recommend this to many others and hope that you enjoy it there.
Hair in Food At Suqat And Gobble. I live in the Marina. Today I went to squat and gobble on Chestnut Street to take my girlfriend out for her birthday lunch. I ordered a Chicken Pesto Crepe and she ordered the Hawaiian Crepe. In my crepe there were multiple hairs. Two different colored hairs. White hair and black hair. This is unacceptable. I know a great deal about the food business and I would be upset if I had complaints of hair in food. Especially two hairs from different people in one meal. This manner should be addressed. Maybe your chefs and prep cooks should be required to wear hair nets. I was reimbursed $10 in cash, but believe I deserve more than that. I order a Bloody Mary, capuccino, and a Mimosa for my girlfrend as well. We left immediately after our full meal was not refunded and I did not receive an apology. I have alot of friends in the Marina and will make sure they do not go to your establishment. I also plan on typing some online reviews about my experience for others to read.
Take a Crepe.
The Squat and Gobble Cafe definitely has a lot of the gobble, but I don't know about the squat.
When you really like bagels, then the whole world is Jewish. And believe me, these are some mighty bagels. They're tasty and chewy and yummy and fun. And don't forget the crepes. They are something else.
yumm yumm yumm. i hopped into this local spot for a quick lunch. it was the best crepe i'd ever had! the menu has lots of choices from breakfast to lunch to dessert and i was not disappointed. i had the mediteranean crepe and am still talking about it......6 weeks later. flavorful ice tea topped off the meal. a definite must. if you're craving authentic, skip the crepery and crepe a-go-go chains for this great eatery
Marina outpost of popular eatery pleases diners all day and night with generous crepes, omelets, and salads..
Neighborhood locals catch up over breakfast, lunch, and dinner at sidewalk tables out front, while inside a brasserie feel dominates the tawny, high-ceilinged space. Menus are written in bold, colorful letters on the massive chalkboards above the counter area. Lighter fare includes soups, salads and a selection of bagel sandwiches, while sweet and savory crepes, like the Sweet As Apple and the Chicken Divan, satisfy bigger appetites, as do hearty pastas.
