In Short
Berkeley denizens feast on elevated take-out meals, like Provençal flatbread pizzas, sushi, and handmade soups at this grand, half-block emporium. The central Zen garden offers ample stadium seating for customers to enjoy their meals while oenophiles can sample vino while noshing on organc rotisserie chicken and clay-oven bread at the resident wine bar. Specialty stores carry artisanal chocolates, caviar, tea and gelato. At the culinary school upstairs, aspiring chefs learn the ropes.

I had the opportunity to check out this new spot last week. What an incredible job they did to this area. The take out selection is incredible, it's very clean and well lit, they have an awesome patio area to sit down, and the people there are very friendly---a welcome sign after a long day of work. Anyway, I've brought food home from Epicurious to my family twice now and I know get calls mid day asking what I'm bringing home. My work takes me to Berkeley often, and this is my go to place.
