My first experience at Salon Belle Linda was fantastic. Having never gotten gel nails I was of course really nervous, plus I was getting married in 2 days so I wanted them to be just perfect. And they were! I was thrilled when I left the salon, I only wish I could remember the young woman’s name that did them. She was terrific.
Two weeks later I needed to get them fixed. This time I went in and waited for an hour before someone finally helped me. About 5 people that came in after me were helped before I was. I suppose that might have been because they were just getting a mani or pedi so they could be helped immediately…? I was finally helped by the owner (not sure if he was but he has a look of authority) well he cut off the tips of all my nails so when he filed them down there was nothing left. He also filed my real nail so deep that I had a red mark (my skin) showing through the gel. This mark showed even when he was finished so I had a red line through the middle of almost every finger. And because he filed my nails so short they had to be fixed by another employee by painting on the french manicure. My nails were worked on for an hour ½ so total I was at the salon for 2 ½ hours.
I can’t say I won’t go back because I have had a couple mani/pedi from a couple other employees and really had a great experience. The place does have great ambiance. I just don’t think I will get gel nails again and if I do, I’ll just be careful who puts them on!
