Butcher of 18th Street Dog Grooming.
I was interested to read the person whose Portagese Water Dog was 'butchered' at Four Wet Feet.
I took my Assie there and was shocked when I came to pick him up. Not only had they half shaved him
they said, because of matts, but what was left was straggly and shapeless. I know he did not have matts as I brushed him out completely the night before. I was also shocked that they didn't call me before doing this to him. Moreover, he had razor cuts on his stomach and in his groin. When I ask them what happened, they just shrugged their shoulders and said they had to because of matts. But I know he
was not matted. I can not discourage anyone more than to say that taking your dog to Four Wet Feet could be the poor animals undoing. There are other groomers who seem to care about the dogs and the work they do. These people apparently don't.
Average Dog Grooming with Unprofessional Client Service.
Wow! Everyone says take your two Sheepdogs to Four Wet Feet. So I got an appointment and took them in.The owner, Robert, first complained that they had matts, why else were they there? Then it was that they
were not properly crate trained. Then on the second visit, he claimed they were not on the books, though he had confirmed the appt. the previous week, and sent them home. A few weeks later, we took them in and were 15 minutes late. He refused them and sent them home again. If you don't care if a confirmed appointment is actually going to happen, then try Four Wet Feet. Personally, I was left completely wet and my two dogs still need a bath. Try the Little Arc on 14th. Great job and no b.s.
What a great place for both me and my dogs!. I took my two dogs to Four Wet Feet to get their nails clipped and came away with not only happier dogs, but also came away with a great experience for myself. My dogs HATE to get their nails cut and in the past when I've had it done elsewhere it pretty much became a wrestling match between them and the person doing the clipping. Having Robbie at Four Wet Feet take care of us was not only a very positive experience for my dogs but me as well. He actually got on the floor with the dogs to make them feel comfortable! He was gentle, caring and had such a positive attitude with us. It is such a great relief to find a place that loves dogs as much as the people who bring their dogs in. Go check it out...you won't be disappointed.
Best Dog Spa!. While walking in the Castro one afternoon, I spotted the an adorable and well groomed Soft Coated Wheaten Terrier. "Bella" had just come from "Four Wet Feet" and I knew immediately that that's where our "Molly", also a SC Wheaten Terrier, needed to go. We've taken Molly to FWF for the last 7 months and couldn't be any happier! Robbie has been very accomodating and Molly never hesitates going there. She always looks and smells her best when we pick her up after her appointment. Molly is much more excited going to see Robbie and Satoki than she is sitting through an eternity of her Dad's attempt to bathe, brush and blowdry [her]. We are so happy with the personal and professional service we receive that Molly is now on a every-3-week schedule for her regular grooming. Robbie has indicated that he grooms a good number of SC Wheaten Terriers. FWF also emails a periodic newsletter which addresses, among other things, pet care and safety.
My Dog Loves This Place.
olly, our Portuguese Water Dog, was one of Four Wet Feets first clients. Im not certain if she is happier to see Robbie and Satoko when I take her there, or me when I return to retrieve her. Its always a great experience for both of us.
Robbie works hard to maintain the best services by keeping abreast of new products and methods. I find it gratifying that Molly is groomed by an organization that not only cares about my dog, but also cares about what they do and how they go about doing it.
My Dog Hates Baths, but he Loves Four Wet Feet. He walks in with a wagging tail and he walks out with one. I know he is treated well there, because he is always happy to go back! He is difficult to groom, being a Siberian Husky with a very thick coat and as I said a dislike of baths. They take the time necessary and do an amazing job on him. I would not take him anywhere else, and I really can't say enough about Robbie. He has a genuine love and understanding of animals, no matter the breed, and it shows! People say to me all the time how well groomed my dog is, and I always rave about Four Wet Feet.
Sebastian Says "Its the Best!".
Sebastian Thor, our 4-yr old Aussie Labradoodle, has been to just about every groomer around. For awhile, we even drove all the way to Los Altos, for his grooming. Some places were OK. Others were a disaster. Then, on the week they opened, we tried Four Wet Feet.
What a difference! They have the patience to deal with his difficult hair, without wanting to immediately shave him. The attitude, customer service and follow-up are outstanding. He comes out looking exactly like he should, complete with a little "report card," and the recommendations have allowed us to keep his long locks without having to shave him down, every few months.
We love the fact that we can make appointments and ask questions via promptly answered eMail.
Most importantly, Sebastian LOVES them. Instead of cowering in the corner, he actually JUMPS ONTO THE GROOMING TABLE, tail wagging, when we arrive. If we happen to bump into Robbie elsewhere in the neighborhood, he barks and rushes to greet him.
We won't go anywhere else and celebrate the day that Four Wet Feet came to San Francisco. Great place and great people!
