Highly recommend. My 4.5 year old has been in Discovery land since he was 9 months old. Lena and her team have done an amazing job in his development. We recently took him to an exclusive private school to test out his aptitude to start kindergarten or advanced pre-k and he did very well and qualified for kindergarten even though he will not be 5 y/o until Oct 09 (i.e. a young kindergartner) - I attribute this mostly to the Discovery Land experience. It is very comforting for 2 working adults to know that well rounded development is happening with their child during working hours -- the nutritious food, care, games, arts/craft, music, learning, etc. Lena is like a second Mom to my child and he truly adores and totally respects her. This has been a great foundation; we are very pleased and highly recommend this facility :-)!!

An excellent preschool facility!. Discoveryland is a wonderful family oriented preschool in which the kids who attend are each given excellent attention. Lina (owner) and her staff genuinely care about each of the children in their care and it shows in each child's face. Our little one sometimes doesn't even want to leave "her school" because she enjoys herself at Discoveryland. Lina and her staff have created a very good learning atmosphere in which each child is encouraged to learn and explore in preparation for their graduation to kindergarten. I also personally appreciate that Lina and her staff skillfully encourage good behavior from each child and give positive reinforcement to each child. Another perk of Discoveryland is that Lina cooks nutricious meals and promotes good nutrition to the kids. Overall, an excellent facility in which a child is cared for, loved, and prepared for their next stage in life.

Quality Childcare and Preschool Program!. My oldest daughter was cared for by Lina from 3 months until she went to Kindergarten. Now my youngest daughter has been with Lina for over 5 years and headed to Kindergarten. Lina, her staff, and teachers provide lots of love, personal attention, and truly treat the children like family. They provide delicious meals, stimulating activities, provide preschool lessons daily, and a weekly music program.

My first, great daycare in Sunset district. This was the very first daycare for my 3-year-old daughter since she was one. We've been enjoying their home-feeling facility and warmth of Lena (owner) and her staff's care for over a year now.

I understand some parents share the concern around mother language (Russian) of the owner and other staff (which was mine as well when choosing daycare for my little one at her critical age to learn language skills). The great thing about this place is Lena hires professional English-speaking teachers to make up this possible drawback for her facility. In addition, some exposure to other language at early stage might help their linguistic development to some extent, I believe. Pretty structured learning programs and class with multiple teachers is one of the hardest thing to expect from this sort of small family-owned care facility. I also love their small backyard where kids play out often.

Love Discovery Land. Discovery Land is great! Cute, clean, fun, creative -- happy kids and SUPER staff. Our whole family loves it.
