Excellent Daycare/Preschool

Lina and her teachers have been doing a wonderful job of taking care of our son for the past year. We had a mishap at another daycare where our son was given peanuts despite a written list of food to avoid, and ended up in the emergency room. I was a nervous wreck about leaving our son with another daycare, but Lina was amazing. She is great at communicating, and letting me know the details of my son's day. My son is a picky eater and she goes out of her way to make sure that he eats well (better than he does at home). Since he started day care there at 19 months old he wasn't quite ready for class. Lina and the other teachers have done a great job of letting my son adjust to going to class, in which he now actively participates. He now can't wait to show me his "projects." I would highly recommend Discovery Land Day care to anyone looking for a family like atmosphere where your child will be safe, happy, and learn the basics of pre-school.

Lina and Discovery Land-An Excellent Choice!

My son Max began Discovery Land daycare when he was 5 1/2 months old. Lina and the other caretakers at Discoveryland were excellent at helping him transition. Initially, Max would not take a bottle and Lina was patient enough to use a teaspoon to feed him breastmilk for the first week! As he got older, when I would go to pick him up, he wouldn't want to leave. Lina cooks warm, healthy meals (which Max to this day misses at his pre-k program), helps (or entirely) potty trains, provides plenty of extracurricular activities with outside teachers coming in (music and art classes, exercise and stretching, etc.) and most importantly provides an exceptionally loving, cozy and safe learning environment for kids. Lina always takes the extra care and measures to make certain the kids are happy and comfortable and goes above and beyond what you would expect from an outside caretaker.

We love Discovery Land

When we were looking for a preschool, we knew that we wanted a warm, nurturing, home-like environment, but didn't want to miss out on the academics to prepare our daughter for kindergarten. We found that Discovery Land was the perfect blend. At just 2 years old, my daughter loves to "go to school" at Discovery Land. Lina brings in professional preschool teachers twice a day to sing songs, do art projects with the kids and introduce them to academics like the alphabet, numbers, colors, shapes, days of the week, etc. My daughter is always bringing home creative projects and proudly tells me which letter of the alphabet she is learning about each week. I also love that Lina makes home-cooked, healthy meals everyday. She greets my daughter with a big smile every morning and gives her the warmth and nurturing that a mother would. The place is super clean too and just the right size for a preschooler. We love that we can leave our daughter there all day without worrying, knowing that she is safe and in nurturing hands. Overall, we are very happy with Discovery Land.
