In Short – Media and design professionals from surrounding offices may choose to power at these elegant tables, but that doesn't make the space any less romantic. Wallpapered in antique prints and hung with chandeliers, this white-tablecloth restaurant boasts a long history of "classic" food--sauteed sweetbreads, rack of lamb and coq au vin--as well as Mediterranean soups, salads and sides. The full piano bar attracts a refined happy-hour crowd there for the inexpensive champagne and oysters on the half shell.

I was visiting from Washington D.C. and meeting friends that i haven't seen in 18 years. Very nervous, tired, and hungry. We met there and i had the best steak in my lifetime! The salad and potatoes were incredible!A very nice surprise, not to mention the bar made the perfect white russians for me!To sum up my experience,I was put at ease from the service, mood, and food!!Great place to eat,or to just meet friends, thanks!!

moved to San Fran for project work mid Dec 2007 and I am still here May 2008.
The fly trap was my first dining restaurant and quickly became my place 2-3 nights per week.
The service and food is fanominal, and I do eat out alot. Where do get consistant professional servers who are truely knowledgable of wine and there specialties. Meg & Jay are the two staff that I first met and always enjoy seeing when I visit for dinner or just the odd drop in for a drink. Fernado and the other staff are equally professional and well informed.
I sincerely recommend this place for a nice dinner either casual or for the someone special.
10 out of 10 for me for food and service. I have never given a 10, but what does if for me is also the little things, and they have it. A fine gentleman who helps the wait and bar staff, is always focused and doing the bread servings, always have a full glass of water and a clean table between servings.
If I were the owner I would be proud!!!
