Editorial Review for Kelley's Tavern – by Citysearch Editors
In Short
The 2,500-square-foot space is decked out like a luxurious living room. A flat-screen TV, the largest of four, sits above the fireplace, which is surrounded by cushy leather chairs. Stained glass lights cast a warm glow over the bar, where Irish whiskies and pints of Guinness are served up. A pool table, shuffleboard table and dart boards round out the offerings.

This place has it all! I live in the Marina and it's nice to finally have a "neighborhood" bar. It's always a great time on Friday and Saturday nights, with a good crowd and upbeat music. It's also the perfect sports bar, they have every major sporting event on, and have developed relationships with fan groups that make for a fun environment. I even enjoy the mellower weeknights when there's live music performed by up-and-coming artists. Apparently now they accept credit cards too, which used to be the only downside to the place since I never carry much cash. I would definitely recommend KTs any day, any time!
Pros: Sports package, friendly bartenders, diverse entertainment
Cons: None, now that they take credit cards!

It is amazing that this is the same place that was a dump only a few years back. Beautifully decorated, with increcible woodwork and stylish detail, this place is part woody Irish pub, part upscale SF hangout. Pool table in back, nice sized dance floor, well poured drinks and frindly servers. Having lived in the Presidio for 8 years, I am glad to have a nice place that is a good combination of kick back, but really well done. Plus, the place is big enough that on weekend nights you can still move around without getting beer spilled on you every five minutes.
Pros: setting, drinks, people.
Cons: parking can be tough on weekend nights, but this is san francisco!
