This sign-less eatery located four blocks from the ocean evokes a hippie ambience with indoor trees, shared tables, reggae tunes and a languorous dining pace. The restaurant, whose owners grow many of their own vegetables, features an entirely meat- and dairy-free menu. The artistically presented salads that incorporate edible flowers, mushrooms and oil-free dressings are the favorite, while other popular items include veggie burgers, soba bowls and vegan chocolate cake.

Best vegan Soul food. I love this place! The food is guaranteed to convert any carnivore :) We're not talking a light sprout salad here, we're talking good ol'filling soul food that makes you want to lounge around for a while afterwards. Which is perfect for their comfy lounge decor w/great art and sacred plants. Just grab a pillow! The attitute here is priceless. The staff is awesome, making you feel right at home. I think of this place all the time when I remember San Fransisco, and wish they were in Nyc as well.

Great vibe and good grub. This relatively new spot is a great addition to the burgeoning Judah corridor down by the beach. Very chill environment, spinning roots vinyl in a Hawai'i-style interior. Food's great (if you like vegan). Gotta love the sliding scale prices too.
