$1 MARGARITAS!!!!!!!!. Wednesday is my new favorite day! Why you ask? Because Wednesday = $1 margaritas at Tortilla Heights! That's right $1! If you still need more of a reason to head over to this delicious mexican restaurant, how about their tacos! They serve them Nick's style, which means packed with your favorite meat, pico, and guacamole. So good! I'm drooling just thinking about it! You know where to find me every Wednesday from now on!…
Horrible Experience.
The general manager came to our table and commented that one of my friends had “nice cleavage.”
I approached him and told him that I thought he owed my friend an apology.
When he would not apologize, I asked him for his name and he told me “Tony.”
I asked him for his last name, and he refused to give it to me. He asked me “Who are you? Who do you work for?”
I replied that it was not important and I wanted his last name and his boss' phone number. He told me, “I am the owner.” I was fairly certain he was not the owner, and I asked a server for the owner's name and number. She told me that she couldn't give that to me. As her general manager was looming over her, I can understand why.
He finally apologized to my friend and immediately after he told her that I was an '@$$hole' and that I was not allowed in his restaurant anymore. Apology not accepted.
We remained on the corner for another couple of minutes. Tony situated himself in the window staring at our party in what I could only assume was an attempt to intimidate me. When we were ready to go, the five of us walked down Bush St. to our car, which was parked in front of the Wells Fargo ATM. We piled in, and I looked to my right to see that Tony had emerged from the restaurant. He walked by our car yelling and pointing at me. As I had my window up, I could not hear what he was saying, but I knew at this point that he was definitely trying to intimidate me. I opened my door and yelled back at him before he made a right and disappeared into the Wells Fargo parking lot.
This was easily the worst experience I have ever had with any management ANYWHERE.
If Tony had just admitted that he made a mistake and apologized, everything would have been OK.
Tortilla Heights does not deserve your business as long as their management acts in this inappropriate, offensive, and professional manner.…
Caliente!!!!.
This place was great! My husband and I had never been to San Fran before, and a friend of mine recommended we check out Tortilla Heights. I'm glad we went...it was more fun that the fancy place we
went to the night before! We must have gotten there just before the rush, as we go a table right a way, but the place filled up in no time. The food was amazing; best chips ever. The margaritas were great. The service was friendly and fast. Even the manager came over to say hi, and chatted with us for a good while!
Great overall experience and I've recommended it to all my friends in Boston heading to SF for vacation!…
Best Tacos in the city. These tacos are the best i have ever tried. Try there Happy hour as well, great drinks! Atmosphere is also second to none.
Best Mexican in SF. This place is unbelievable! It's a great spot if you're looking for a fun dining experience....great for groups, out of towners, or dinner with a friend. Get there early, and it's an excellent spot to take the kids. The food is incredible, best guacamole in town. And the margaritas are out of this world, fresh squeezed lime juice...no mixers. They're insane, and I don't even love margaritas so this is saying a lot. Not to miss: queso dip, skirts enfuego salad, tacos "nicks way", asada mixto. Wow! You will not be disappointed, and will more then likely find yourself back sooner then you think.…
