The Scene
A cosmopolitan crowd lines up to order at a silver counter backed by white walls and wood shelves showcasing fruit, bread and wine. Above the candlelit bar, a banner-length menu stretches from the entrance to the back of the single-room space, where servers deliver food to diners sitting at wood tables and banquettes cushioned with moss-colored velvet.
The Food
Executive Chef Sascha Weiss boasts an eye-catching resume, including stints with raw-food relic Roxanne's and film director George Lucas (as a personal chef). The plump, roasted beet salad, accompanied by soft clumps of goat cheese, shaved fennel, walnuts and balsamic vinaigrette, could easily be found in any fancy restaurant. Another sweet-and-savory highlight is the open-face crab cake sandwich--served on thin country bread that's spread with garlic aioli and topped with juicy tomatoes and grilled red peppers. Fans of Thai peanut sauce will enjoy the jasmine rice bowl with crisp veggies.

I kept hearing about this place but it's in the Marina so it took awhile for me to get there. Now I wish there was one closer to me because I have no choice but to travel there repeatedly. It has a modern yet casual atmosphere--good place to sit down and enjoy eating great food (sort of a garden meets a Swedish wood sauna). If you like fresh local food as an ingredient in almost every item on the menu, you need to check this place out. They offer beautiful salads and allow you to have your own created with local organic farm produce. If you don't mind paying a bit, they have delicious organic juices made for you as you wait (this can take awhile so don't go there in peak hours if you want a quick juice to go). The appetizers and entrees range from Californian to Asian in style. If you want a hamburger don't go. They only offer free range organic chicken, shrimp and wild sustainable fish - the fresh halibut with seasonal vegetables and grains is amazing. If you care about where what you eat comes from, like the idea of fresh seasonal ingredients and don't want to spend a tonne, this is your place. Oh, and they also have scrumptious home made desserts and a good selection of local organic wines and beer. I give lettus 5 stars for being the best new discovery I've made in years!

This place is amazing and worth every penny! I can't recommend the California Veggy Burger enough. I go during the week because the weekends can have LONG lines out the door.

If you are looking for a yummy and healthy place for a meal head to Lettus. The restaurant hosts a large selection of food all made with organic ingredients. The restaurant itself is a gorgeous and very organic space with wood pannels along the walls and an open floorplan. I would bet anything on the menu will leave you fully satisfied so order as you please. If you're in a rush the long line often goes to the door, but if you have the time its worth the wait!
