Not very good at all. I know a lot of people rave about him, but I found my cut to be poorly done. He has what he claims are his special techniques that other hairdressers don't know about - but the reason other hairdressers don't cut that way is because it doesn't work. I also don't think he understands that some things work on certain hair types and not on others - a hairdresser should know which is which and cut accordingly. I even explicitly explained to him how my hair is, so there was no excuse.

He gave me uneven layers that stick out and don't sit properly - it makes my hair look chewed and raggedy, not in the funky sense, but just in the thinned out, scraggely, uneven sense. I've noticed other people made similar comments on other review sites - I'm wondering if he thinks that no matter what he does, it will always pass as 'arty'.

For $75, you can do better elsewhere.

Best haircut anywhere!. If you are thinking about getting a haircut... and you are wondering where... don't think it twice.. I highly recommend the best stylist ALEX SANDOR to do it.

He's done my hair for 3 years and if he ever moves out of the country I would be willing to fly anywhere in the world to get a haircut.

No need to go to any other stylist...Alex is the real deal. After trying many of San Francisco's hair salons, I stumbled upon Alex's unique studio. His welcoming friendly style is perfectly balanced with his craft. He truly listens to your hair concerns and needs and personalizes his services to each of his clients. Every time I'm there it's a wonderful and relaxing experience. From the great tunes, to the warm cup of tea, to the best shampooing you'll ever want...he is the real deal. I wouldn't trust my hair with anyone else now!

A world class artist, at a non-world class price. Alex does a tremendous job making you first feel at home, secondly working with you to find the best style and destination for your hair and then works with you over time to help you understand and control your hair. He is an artist who knows his craft and is very very fairly priced if not under priced.
